Hello! My name is Paul, and I am a recent graduate from the University of North Texas, with a Bachelor in Science in mathematics. I have two years of experience tutoring in the math lab. The math lab is a drop-in tutoring center where students may come in and ask for help in their math classes. Some of these classes include: college algebra, precalculus, calculus I-III, differential equations, linear algebra, and statistics. I also have a year of experience as a recitation instructor for the ... [more]

Math has always been the one thing that came natural to me. I grew up in a STEM and business family where crunching numbers was an everyday affair; be it from my accounting mother, economics father, educationalists uncle and aunt, or even from my engineering and science geek uncles! Thankfully the Math love bug bit me and it's one of those things I'll forever be grateful for. I have come to the realization that Math does not come naturally to many people out there and this has made me more p... [more]

I took Calculus as a senior in high school and made straight A's in the class. I often assisted other students outside of class with their understanding of the concepts. I have since taken Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III, and Differential Equations & Linear Algebra in college. I would go so far as to say that I have gained additional understanding of Calculus as a whole due to its application in nearly all of my physics courses taken in college as well. I am an undergraduate student at Trinity University pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Physics. I have always loved lea [more]

I probably tutor this course more than any other. Calculus is basic to any study of more advanced math, so plan to study hard and get a good foundation in it! If you go on and take Differential Equations or other, more advanced subjects you will thank yourself and avoid lots of difficulty (and tutoring!) if you get a good foundation in Calculus. I do tutor more advanced courses, and I know what you will need for them. Ask all the questions you want; I am glad to answer them and I will never make you feel like you shouldn't have asked. Students have trouble with Calculus both because of th [more]

I graduated with an A in Calculus I and an A- in Calculus 2. I am a very outgoing guy and very passionate in what I do. Also, I am a people person and I like to help people with their needs. In fact, this is probably part of the reason why I choose to tutor, because I believe that it's an honor to give back to young people any knowledge you have gained, so that they could benefit from it. As far my education background, I graduated from Iowa State University in 2011 with B.S in Chemistry. While I was in college, I have tutored for two years, in Calcu... [more]
