Hello prospective students (and parents, spouses, or loved ones), My goal as a tutor is not just to teach you just enough to let you pass that next exam. I work with my students so that they not only know the material that we are covering, but also so that they understand the meaning of the material, the background behind it, and how to apply it in the real world. This allows for my students to handle those really difficult problems where they have to not just recite what was learned, but us... [more]

After having worked 30 years as an engineer for major aerospace firms, I have recently decided to retire. I can now pursue the things I like to do. One of things I like to do is to tutor. I love working with people, especially when they see significant improvement because of my help. I have been successfully tutoring the last six years and have helped many people along the way.... I find teaching Calculus to be very rewarding. After reviewing the general theorems, I help students learn to complete each step carefully and make sure it is logical before moving on to the next. By teaching students to attack difficult problems by using lots of easy baby steps, they quickly gain the confidence to approach any problems on their own. In less than 3 years of study, I graduated with honors from UC Berkeley in 2012 and was inducted into Psi Chi, The International Psychology Honors Society, in the same year. My coursework focused mainly on Psychology and the Pre-Medical Sciences a [more]

Calculus is a vast subject that begins by building on top of algebra and trigonometry by introducing concepts such as limits and infinite series. It then introduces derivatives and later integration. After those concepts are mastered partial differentiation, multivariate integration, differential equations and differential operators are added. Calculus requires strong math skills in foundational math up through the level of trigonometry, and any holes or weaknesses in those areas need to be addressed. [more]

Emma regularly tutors Calculus I, II, and III (multivariable). She has helped several adult students regain fundamental math skills and return to school for advanced degrees. She also tutors AP Calculus AB and BC. Hello! I?m Emma - cat photographer? macaroon baker? and engineering tutor. I tutor structural engineering and other civil or mechanical engineering courses. If you are studying statics, dynamics, strength of materials, or structural analysis, I can help! I graduated from MIT with BS in civil engineering, am certified as a mechanical engineer-in-training, and have over 4000 [more]

I tutor all levels of college math except Statistic: Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, and Linear Algebra & Differential Equation. I assist students in acquiring better understanding lectures and homework. I help struggling students improve their grades and their self-sufficiency. I am able to explain the concepts to my students effectively. Hello, my name is Nhi, I'm a student at California State Fullerton. My major is Mathematics and I want to become a math professor in the future. I have been tutoring for over three years in several subjects: Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, [more]

I have taken 6 college level calculus courses including differential equations and multivariable calculus with a 4.0 average. I have approximately 100 hours of tutoring calculus on a high school and college level. Most importantly, I find the theory and practice of calculus to be among the most interesting pursuits in all of mathematics. I have tutored and studied, at a graduate level, a broad range a math topics focusing on calculus and statistics. I have found math tutoring to be one of the most rewarding things I have ever done. Many students report that they do not like math and/or ar [more]

I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics, and a master;s degree in operations research. As far as Calculus is concerned, I only got A's in Calculus I, II & iii, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations and Mathematical Physics, and I'm very knowledgeable in the area. I received a Bachelors of Science in Mathematics, and a Masters of Science in Operations Research. Throughout my college and grad school, I tutored math to many students. The subjects include Calculus, Discrete Math, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Physics, Operations Research, Probability a [more]

I helped students to get 5 in AP Calculus AB and BC test. When I was a student, I got scholarship in recognition of outstanding achievement in advanced math. I took total 5 calculus classes and all passed with A+. Later on, I was hired as an advanced tutor at tutor center to help higher level students. I have been tutoring for a long time. I was hired as a TA and provided assistance to professors and students. I was also a math tutor in the Tutor Center of Science and Mathematics in community college. I solved many students' questions and held numerous review sessions. In addition, I also assi [more]
