I worked as a teaching assistant for calculus 1, 2 and 3 at University of Houston while I was working on my master's degree in mathematics. In recent years I have tutored many high school and college students at all levels of calculus. I am very familiar with this subject. My strength is I can explain difficult concepts from different angles. I can design practice problems on the fly to help my students to reinforce certain concepts. I hold a master's degree in mathematics from University of Houston and a master's degree in electrical engineering from a prestigious university in China. I [more]

Prerequisite math courses, calculus, and circuits are only the first courses in a long series of my coursework. I have multiple electrical engineering degrees and took several mechanical engineering courses, then applied these courses in diverse industry applications. I have recently tutored multiple college students in calculus. I am a Software Engineering Fellow with a Doctor of Engineering degree who specializes in applying theory and mathematical concepts to practical applications. My objective in every tutoring session is to help students become familiar with the fundamental concepts, t [more]

I have over ten years of experience as a tutor, working at various universities, companies, and even privately. 25 years ago I worked in the BYU Math Lab to pay my way through college. I was assigned to work with the advanced calculus students since so few of the other tutors had mastered this subject. Calculus is my favorite subject to tutor students in. I graduated from BYU with a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering with a minor in mathematics and aerospace studies. I have tutored hundreds of students in math, science, and engineering over the past 25 years. I worked in the BYU Math Lab to pay my way through college where I earned a Master of Science degree in Electrical [more]

I've loved math my entire life. I love how the concepts click together with a right or wrong answer. I ended up unofficially tutoring my fellow classmates throughout middle and high school whenever they needed help with homework, and I loved getting to share my knowledge and understanding to help them one on one. I volunteered with a tutoring club at my high school as well. I graduated with a degree in Actuarial Science, which is essentially a math degree with added financial and econo... [more]

I have many years of experience as a tutor, at college, high school and middle school levels. I love Math and can tutor several subjects (Algebra, Geometry, Calculus, Physics, Test Prep, etc.). When in high school, I won several awards in Math Olympiads: 1st place in Sao Paulo State, 1st place in Brazil, Silver medal at Olimpiada Ibero-Americana and also participated in an International Math Olympiad. I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Universidade de Sao Paulo (Brazil), and a M.S.... [more]

I am a devoted, result driven Mathematician and curriculum developer with a passion for Math and keen statistical, analytical, and mathematical strength. I was born and raised in North Texas where I obtained my Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science from University of North Texas. My passion for mathematics and teaching is what makes me a motivating and inspiring educator. Working as a Director of Mathematics for two learning programs are the highlights of my experience in the field. I pur... [more]

I am currently attending The University of Texas at Dallas! I have a love for math that I would love to share with others. I have tutored different subjects in mathematics such as Algebra I, Precalculus, and Calculus I. Students I have tutored in these subjects have become masters of it. I enjoy tutoring students because as a student, we have a lot in common. I too at one point needed help, and when I sought it, my academic life completely changed. My passion in math makes tutoring students f... [more]

I attended a very specialized science college in California where most of the students had received Math SAT scores over 780, and used this to go on to Masters and PhD degrees in Physics. I spent most of my career developing science requirements for the International Space Station. In this role, I designed and built several experiments for flight. My initial career was as a nuclear engineer, performing safety analyses for advanced nuclear reactors and theoretical studies of nuclear fusion. I grew up in a tough economic environment with a loving mother who told us to do our best, and I now [more]

Calculus is the branch of mathematics used to study any phenomena involving change. It focuses on functions, limits, integrals, derivatives, and infinite series. Calculus, especially college calculus, is not an easy course to deal with. Some students find calculus one of the toughest Math courses. But, I can make it simple and easy using step-by-step method and detailed lessons. I have taught several Calculus courses at the college level and understand that often the hardest part of calculus is mastering all the algebra! Often times, students miss something in all Math classes leading up to [more]
