My experience with this subject has mainly focused on helping students with AP calculus, but I have also worked with many college students taking business calculus and calculus I at RCC, Cal Baptist, La Sierra, and a few other colleges. I've got lots of extra worksheets, released exam questions, practice tests, and a calculus textbook collection to help you power through this subject. I have over a decade of professional experience teaching and tutoring mathematics and SAT/ACT test prep. Over the years I have developed very effective techniques for working with students and I have become very [more]

As cliche as it sounds, I really find joy in helping others better understand concepts or just help them learn something new. I am very patient, kind, hard-working, and have great communication skills. I do my best to guide my students towards, not only the right answer, but the correct thought proce... [more]

I also have a lot of exposure to working with children. I worked a... [more]

I recommend all students to do a thorough review 2-3 weeks BEFORE they start a calculus course. I have created a great 'crash course' packet that students can complete to ensure they are ready to digest the calculus topics from day 1 in class without having to feel overwhelmed with weaknesses in their non-calculus related training. I have taken about 15 calculus based courses as a student and I can truly say I love the subject! It's like learning a new language, which can be frustrating initially. But once you establish fluency it's very rewarding. Every student that has worked with me on a l [more]

Growing up asking for help or tutoring from teachers was kinda of intimidating for me. I found it easier and less intimidating when it was someone around my age group. I recently graduated with a Chemistry BS Degree at California State University of Long Beach. Throughout my school years, my colleagues and classmates always told me that I was great at explaining the problem in a simpler way for them to understand, and that I should try and become a tutor.
