Calculus is the exploration of approximation and how functions change over time. In calculus one we are introduced to a variety of tools, such as the limit, continuity, differentiation, integration, and the fundamental theorem of calculus. In calculus two we build on our tools of differential and integral calculus and introduce new tools for analyzing series and sequences, such as power, Taylor and Maclaurin series. I majored in Philosophy/Computer Science and minored in Mathematics in college. I tutor math, physics, general engineering, writing and test prep for high school, college and adult [more]

Hi I'm Frank! I recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma with my Bachelors of Science in Chemical Engineering, along with minors in General Business and Chemistry. I also had taken additional and extensive coursework beyond my degree requirements in Mathematics and Chemical Engineering. Beyond the classroom, I enjoy teaching and being a counselor at my church youth group on the weekends. One of my biggest goals throughout my college career was becoming immersed in as many discipline... [more]

Calculus is perhaps my favorite subject to tutor. I first took calculus as a sophomore in high school, when I scored a perfect 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam. The next year I took multivariable calculus, including a semester with USA IMO Math Coach Zuming Feng. I frequently tutor OU students in calculus, including Business Calculus I and Business Calculus II. I have perfect scores on the GRE Quantitative & Verbal Reasoning sections (170's), the SAT Math & Reading Sections (800's), and the SAT Math II Subject Test (800). I also have 5's on the AP BC Calculus Exam and both Physics C exams (M [more]

Calculus is hands down, my favorite math subject. During my time as a college student, I took Calculus 1, 2, and 3, and feel comfortable communicating the ideas of each level. Whether it's rates of change, summations, or even curvature and reading 3-dimensional graphs, I can help. I attended Oklahoma Christian University to study Mechanical Engineering in 2007. In 2009, I began tutoring in an on-campus tutoring office and fell in love with tutoring. I graduated in December of 2011, but decided to continue pursuing private tutoring. I'm often asked why I don't pursue something relevant to my de [more]

5/5 on AP Calculus BC test Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from OU Currently working as Engineer at Tinker AFB I am a recent graduate of the University of Oklahoma, achieving a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering. As that degree ensures I can solve complex equations and understand difficult concepts, my students (and their parents) can rest easy knowing I am giving them the proper information in an easy to learn way. Admittedly, I would not have the ability to teach just by being a student. I have also been a tutor for eight years now, beginning my junior year of high school. [more]
