Calculus is a basic skill required for a real understanding of most of the hard sciences, especially physics. I use the material taught in calculus courses on a daily basis. I am a senior graduating this fall with a double major in physics and math from the University of Houston Clear Lake. I am an active participant in the UHCL Astronomy Club and president of the Physics Club. I speak fluent Norwegian and English. I started tutoring seven years ago. My tutoring experience includes working for Numberworks 'n' Words in the United Arab Emirates and volunteering with Junior Achievement here in T [more]

I have a degree in education from Texas State University and have been teaching in public schools for four years. I have a 7-12 Texas Teacher Math Certification which qualifies me to teach Calculus in Texas Public Schools. Additionally, I have been tutoring these subjects since college and have a long track record of success with my students. Finally, I am currently enrolled in a Chemical Engineering Program at the University of Houston where I have a 4.0 GPA. Hello! My name is Jonathan and I am an advanced math, chemistry, physics, and engineering tutor. I am a TEA certified high school [more]

I graduated from the University of Houston Clear Lake with a degree in Mathematical Science. I have tutored privately in the past, dealing mostly with students struggling in remedial maths (below college algebra), college algebra, trigonometry, and various calculus. I have also spent time tutoring in the mathematics lab at San Jacinto Community college. As such, the majority of my tutoring experience is with college-age students. I am also comfortable working with school-age students, as I ha... [more]

I took Calculus as an undergraduate Electrical Engineering student. I have applied calculus in my graduate studies and in my career as an engineering consultant. I have written a book on calculus - "Essential Calculus with Motivational Problems." I love to share "Aha" moments with my students! I have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston. I taught both classes and labs while a graduate student and continued to teach Electrical Engineering at UH for 14 years after graduation. I am proud of the high scores I earned in the student evaluations that were administered by [more]

I excelled in three semesters of Calculus in undergraduate school. I have also applied it in my Physics coursework and teaching. I have taught physics at both high school and college levels and have tutored in various areas of math and physics. I studied these subjects in college because they were challenging and I found them fascinating and fun. I enjoy teaching because I want to share this fascination with others, and because I want to help others meet the challenge of learning subjects that are usually assumed to be very hard. I knew nothing about physics prior to discovering my interes [more]

Welcome! As an engineering graduate, I understand that having a strong background in science and mathematics can open the doors to many STEM related opportunities. The future starts now and I can help students succeed with my knowledge and expertise in math and science. What I offer is not just technical information, but also long term problem solving skills. I am patient with all my students and enthusiastic about seeing my students improve and learn. Subjects: My tutoring focus is mostly ... [more]

I tutor from the grade school through the college. To my students, I offer FREE phone help. My students at WyzAnt have given me the highest rating: rating of 5 out of 5. My focus is improving YOUR grades and c... [more]

Calculus is a difficult subject and I know the many pitfalls that student face on these courses. I started tutoring my freshman year in college. I love tutoring because it has helped me reach my engineering goals in school. There is nothing like teaching something to master it! This began my love for learning and also for sharing knowledge with others who wish to do better. Often times students understand the material and just need more one on one time to workout examples and see things a bit clearer. I know how far hard work and determination can take a person. This is what I respect th... [more]

I graduated from Yale University with a doctorate in physics. Currently a researcher of advanced quantum chemistry at Texas Tech and Teacher at UHCL. Advanced knowledge of Physics related math concepts like DVR, FFT, ALS, SOP, quantum, e&m, and publishing. I love to teach all levels including introductory studies.... [more]

I studied the theory and methods of Calculus in mathematics and mathematical physics classes during my MS and PhD studies. In my teaching I reviewed Calculus methods to the graduate students. In my research I applied Calculus in physical kinetics, DNA physics and optics. The research has been published in many American and international scientific journals. Hello, I?m Dr. Arnold. I retired recently as a professor of biophysics after 18 years of working for UTMB, Auburn University, and University of Houston. I started tutoring almost 20 years ago when I prepared my daughter for the PSAT and SAT [more]
