My experience with this subject has mainly focused on helping students with AP calculus, but I have also worked with many college students taking business calculus and calculus I at RCC, Cal Baptist, La Sierra, and a few other colleges. I've got lots of extra worksheets, released exam questions, practice tests, and a calculus textbook collection to help you power through this subject. I have a decade of professional experience teaching and tutoring mathematics and SAT/ACT test preparation. Over the years I have developed very effective strategies and techniques for working with students, and I [more]

Hi Guys, My name is Sanjay. I am a current master's level graduate student who majored in physics at Pacific Union College. I have a very genuine passion for teaching and helping students learn. As cliche as it sounds, I really find joy in helping others better understand concepts or just help them learn something new. I am very patient, kind, hard-working, and have great communication skills. I do my best to guide my students towards, not only the right answer, but the correct thought proce... [more]

Hello! I am a UCSD graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Biology, and I recently graduated from USC with my Masters degree in Global Medicine. As an undergraduate at UCSD, I worked as a teaching assistant for lower division biology classes and also tutored different math subjects. I have tutored students in math and science at all grade levels: elementary, middle school, high school and college. I have over eight years of tutoring experience and I am passionate about sharing my ... [more]

I have taken college level mathematics up to number theory and complex analysis. I have experience tutoring and have received formal education in tutoring at college. I have experience tutoring and Crafton hills college as an on the floor tutor for math and physics. I love helping people understand a subject better, and having fun learning a subject. The most enriching part of tutoring is the confidence in one's own abilities at the end of a session. My teaching methods are a mixture of pseudo-lecture and hands on with example problems and thought provoking questions to encourage engagemen [more]

In physics the primary mathematics that we use is calculus. The majority of formulas are derived using concepts from calculus. Because of this, I have a great deal of practice solving calculus problems. I would also discuss concepts with other tutors at the tutoring center in Crafton Hills College. I have always enjoyed tutoring. I first started tutoring at Crafton Hills College in the tutoring center there. I loved getting to know all the people who came down to the tutoring center. I loved hearing about all their different stories. the diversity was so refreshing. The people I worked wi [more]

Hello potential tutees! I'm a 28 year old certified math teacher. I graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering in 2008. My major required a broad-range of higher level mathematics and science courses. While an undergrad, I started tutoring for a small, private tutoring company. I tutored in subjects ranging from Physics to Calculus. One of my students was even accepted to Stanford! This is my fifth year teaching mathematics in the classroo... [more]

Early on in my life, one class I felt that made sense always was math. I challenged myself and got to the highest math class I could get in, which was Calc BC at my high school. I have tutored for Precalculus, Calculus and most math subjects from 9th-grade math to calculus. I love helping other students excel in the subject they do not like and try to make it easy for them to learn. I'm currently enrolled to study at UCR this September for computer engineering, so I've been prepared rigoro... [more]

Tutoring combines three of my favorite things: Math, physics, and helping students succeed. I graduated from UCR with a B.S. in Applied Mathematics/Physics, and during my time there I had been a tutor and a Supplemental Instruction (kind of like group tutoring) leader. My favorite part about tutoring is seeing students get excited about figuring problems out on their own. Because math and physics tend to be difficult subjects for most, a lot of people give up and settle for average. However, ... [more]

My love of teaching Math comes from love of Math. I received my Bachelor degree in Mathematical Science with GPA 3.78 , major GPA 3.83, Honors in Mathematical Science and Magna Cum Laude. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree in applied Math. I always consider math as one of the most intuitive and straight-forward subject. I want to teach my student to not be afraid of math and try to love this subject. I specialize in tutoring Math and Chinese for tests and up to college lever c... [more]

Calculus was my first love affair, from the first time I asked in algebra, "what if you could divide by something as it becomes zero" and my teacher gifted me his calculus book to investigate. Literally, ask me anything, I will remember, from the definition of the derivative as a limit to how the integral takes the value of a point and translates it into a slope and beyond into series and infinity and back (if you don't mind some projective geometry). Mathematics is my specialty, but my interests spread broadly and deeply. My tutoring method is a combination of Polya and AVID, I use problem so [more]
