Calculus has literally been my life for the last several years, from the initial calculus series to vector calculus to its extreme application in the half dozen upper level physics courses in my degree all the way through to my current academic research on quantum liquids and of course teaching it through Wyzant. My understanding of calculus developed through taking courses, working with the subject in real world settings and developing analogies to properly explain to students what calculus is actually trying to say. Mastery of calculus opens the door to many fields such as science, engineering, business and medicine. My engineering background gives me a deep understanding of calculus and how it is used to solve real world problems, some of which can be solved exactly while others require the use of a computer to estimate a solution. I have extensive experience with both techniques and can help you on your path to better understanding of calculus. Math and science were my favorite subjects throughout my formal schooling and I can help any student improve their knowledge in these courses by helping them e [more]

I honestly believe that I can help anyone understand mathematics by demystifying it, leaving no questions unanswered and no concepts misunderstood from the most basic level of "what is a number?" Notice that I did not say that I can help you "get the right answer" which is a service offered by most tutors. Most of the people that I tutor remark "I actually understand what's going on now" or "I didn't realize it was so simple!" What qualifies me to tutor mathematics, outside of my expert kno... [more]

Topics in a standard Calculus class, including, but not limited to: Differential Equations, Integrals, Series, Vectors, Multivariable Equations, The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, and 3-Dimensional Graphing. I've been tutoring math of just about all subjects for 10 years. In that time, I've developed multiple ways of teaching mathematics in a level of understanding that is compatible to multiple mindsets, from people who pick up quickly to people who need time to understand - anything from simple addition to Algebra, from Geometry to Calculus, and just about anything in between. I've worke [more]
