I have had many years of learning and using calculus in the process of getting three engineering degrees. As a teacher, I have also completed the College Board AP Calculus workshop for teachers, and have tutored in the subject for two years. I have always loved learning, and I want to share that experience with my students. After spending 16 years as a professional scientist in the field of medicine, I have decided to focus on helping my children and other students with their academic quest. I can take the pain out of learning new things, share my enthusiasm and make school interesting. I [more]

Greetings, Personal development is a process that occurs at every stage of one?s life and allows one to realize a potential that arises within the heart of our boldest dreams. Tutoring offers a profound level of engagement, wherein both the student and the tutor define and refine goals along their pursuit of excellence. I agree with Howard Gardner?s conclusion that there are multiple learning styles, yet seek to define an accurate means to appeal to a student?s learning style in a man... [more]

Been tutoring since 10th grade in high school. After graduated from UCLA in 2007, I began to teach in ACI (well known test-prep institute) in Los Angeles. In 2009, I went to Beijing, China, to teach international students physics and math in National Institute of Technology. In 2010, I became the Physics subject director for the school, and in 2011, I was appointed to be the first director for the newly opened American High School in NIT. In 2015 I moved to Las Vegas. None of my students ... [more]

I am 34 years old. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and am currently working on a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, I am an engineering intern during the summers at NASA. I have been successfully tutoring students in math, physics, and English for over 10 years. All of the students I have worked with have passed their classes with A's or B's. Most of those students had much lower grades when we started - even failing grades. I tutor because I love to ... I'm on my third year of the PhD in Biophysics. During this time and previously I've been teaching Math and Physics for engineering students at the University of Sao Paulo. I love tutoring because I know how difficult can be understanding science, that's why I always try to explain with simple examples and repeating all the time my students need until they get the right idea. My principal advice for the students who want to understand Math, is to organize ideas in order to have a methodology f... [more]

The bachelor's degree that I have earned is in mathematics. But before I came to United States, I was teaching Integral Calculus, Discrete Structures, Differential Equations, and Automata Theory at Angeles University Foundation College of Computer Studies. I taught there for 5 years (1995-2000), while I was taking my post-graduate (MS Math) studies. Right now, I'm working as a math teacher in a high school in Henderson. This means that I have a wide range of knowledge in math, and I can ... [more]

MATH, SPSS, Solidworks and Computing are some of the areas that I consider my forte, though I teach other subjects as well. I have had my education with three university degrees, each having extensive use of Mathematics. I have privately tutored students up to college level in the past and resumed this activity, as it gives me sheer joy and fulfillment of being able to share whatever knowledge and insight I may have gained. In a way, sometimes I find I am reliving some of the chapters of my o... [more]
