I have had many years of learning and using calculus in the process of getting three engineering degrees. As a teacher, I have also completed the College Board AP Calculus workshop for teachers, and have tutored in the subject for two years. I have always loved learning, and I want to share that experience with my students. After spending 16 years as a professional scientist in the field of medicine, I have decided to focus on helping my children and other students with their academic quest. I can take the pain out of learning new things, share my enthusiasm and make school interesting. I [more]

Greetings, Personal development is a process that occurs at every stage of one?s life and allows one to realize a potential that arises within the heart of our boldest dreams. Tutoring offers a profound level of engagement, wherein both the student and the tutor define and refine goals along their pursuit of excellence. I agree with Howard Gardner?s conclusion that there are multiple learning styles, yet seek to define an accurate means to appeal to a student?s learning style in a man... [more]

I've loved Math all my life. I completed a BS Mechanical Engineering and an MBA. In those degrees I've studied a wide variety of math topics from Algebra, Calculus, and Statistics. I began teaching Math a few years ago, both middle and high school. I am currently a licensed teacher in Clark County. I like teaching, but I love tutoring. As a teacher, not all the students want to learn, but as a tutor, the student typically wants to learn. Also as a tutor, it's great to see the resu... [more]

I have successfully accomplished a high academic grade for the following mathematics courses: UNLV MAT 181 (grade of A), MAT 182 (grade of B+), MAT 283 (grade of A), MAT 429 (grade of A) and MAT 465 (grade of A). Prior to college studying, I also had previously completed Calculus in high school while succeeding in passing the Advanced Placement Examination (1991 in the past). While studying Kinesiology at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), I was involved in the teaching and tutoring of various student-athletes who were enrolled in UNLV college courses. I have learned to relate to a [more]

My greatest passion in life is teaching. I experienced great success at school and at university due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. I received my Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from UNLV this past December. During my Ph.D. period of study, I taught several undergraduate courses. My aspiration for education led me to gain more teaching experiences beyond my duties as a graduate assista... [more]

I am 34 years old. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and am currently working on a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Additionally, I am an engineering intern during the summers at NASA. I have been successfully tutoring students in math, physics, and English for over 10 years. All of the students I have worked with have passed their classes with A's or B's. Most of those students had much lower grades when we started - even failing grades. I tutor because I love to ... I have a BS Math, with a few units in MS Math. I have taught mathematics here and abroad, including Calculus. The bachelor's degree that I have earned is in mathematics. But before I came to United States, I was teaching Integral Calculus, Discrete Structures, Differential Equations, and Automata Theory at Angeles University Foundation College of Computer Studies. I taught there for 5 years (1995-2000), while I was taking my post-graduate (MS Math) studies. Right now, I'm working as a math teacher in a high school in Henderson. This means that I have a wide range of knowledge in math, and [more]

I'm on my third year of the PhD in Biophysics. During this time and previously I've been teaching Math and Physics for engineering students at the University of Sao Paulo. I love tutoring because I know how difficult can be understanding science, that's why I always try to explain with simple examples and repeating all the time my students need until they get the right idea. My principal advice for the students who want to understand Math, is to organize ideas in order to have a methodology f... [more]

MATH, SPSS, Solidworks and Computing are some of the areas that I consider my forte, though I teach other subjects as well. I have had my education with three university degrees, each having extensive use of Mathematics. I have privately tutored students up to college level in the past and resumed this activity, as it gives me sheer joy and fulfillment of being able to share whatever knowledge and insight I may have gained. In a way, sometimes I find I am reliving some of the chapters of my o... [more]

I took calculus as an undergraduate and graduate student in physics and mathematics, including advanced calculus. I have held a Nevada Teaching License for years, and have a PhD in physics and mathematics. Former full-time substitute teacher in various CCSD schools, from elementary to high school. Taught math, science and other subjects. Also tutored for various private tutoring companies, to help students pass the Nevada Mathematics Proficiency Exam, required to obtain a high school diploma. As well, tutored students to pass various parts of the Scholastic aptitude Test, such as math and Eng [more]
