I took Calculus 2 and 3 my freshman year of college, and have since put them to practice in tutoring locations such as the Brandon HCC and the University of South Florida. I have a copy of a text which encompasses all three of the Calculus classes- differential, integral, and multi-variable. I also stay up to date on topics in Calculus using websites. I hold a Bachelors in Secondary Mathematics Education from USF, and I taught for 5 years in both public and private schools teaching math and science. As the oldest of four, I have tutored since a very early age. I officially started tutoring in [more]

Thank you for looking into my profile. I am eager to tutor just a few students at this time. The specifics: I strive to be professionally competent, punctual, reliable, and prepared. I have eleven years of experience with students of all ages. Although math and science are my specialties, I hope for my students to excel in all subjects. I tutor algebra, geometry, precalculus, and calculus often enough that a textbook is not necessary for lessons. I encourage "mental math" and discourage cal... [more]

I am a public speaker and love to zap anyone with the "I can do it" attitude about life long learning. B.S. in Mathematics -- MATH and reading are my passions! Prior tutoring successes have included algebra 1 tutoring of a flunking student who not only passed that course, but became an engineer because he found he liked math and science. Another student was flunking trigonometry. He came to me the NIGHT BEFORE the final, stating he had to pass that exam with a B or better. He made an A o... [more]

I was a TA for 4 semesters for engineering and general science calculus I, I ran the required problem solving sessions. All TA's were also required to do departmental tutoring for Calculus I-III for students as well as one-on-one sessions in the form of office hours. My degree in physics is also quite heavy on the calculus so aside from taking the calculus classes specifically my degree curriculum had calculus in all the classes. I'm a current graduate student in Applied Physics at the University of South Tampa. As a graduate assistant at USF, I teach the general physics labs, recitation/probl [more]

I earned straight As in high school in both calculus I and calculus II. As an engineering student, I have continued using calculus for the past 5 years. I took AP Calculus BC online when I was in 11th grade without taking AP Calculus AB first and I got a 5 on the AP exam. Many people think of calculus as being a very difficult math class, but it is mostly just new concepts that require students to think differently than in most of their previous math classes. I have tutored many different people in Calculus and all of my students have rated me positively . Hello, my name is Jaron and I have been tutoring several years.
