I grew up reading classic literature for fun; if it wasn't for the amount of reading I did, I would not have been able to communicate as effectively as I can. Even now, I keep a compendium of classic literature complete with footnotes. I tend to be a non-traditional tutor in some aspects when it comes to English; for instance, I had my younger sister read a bit out of Macbeth when I found out she was struggling in her English class to aid in her understanding of the play.
