Innovative principal (retired) to tutor all subjects and test prep

I have been tutoring students for the HSPT at a local tutoring center for the past year. In addition, I have tutored an 8th grader for the SSAT in the past. Patient and enthusiastic with a special love for math (K-12+)

My experience with the High School Placement Test (HSPT) is one where I teach test-taking techniques and review material that has been learned and retained. My methodology also includes reviewing the expectations of the test and the student's studying skills and habits. If time allows (weeks or months before the test) I help the student reinforce some of those areas where a comfort zone has not yet been reached. The Cooperative Admissions Examination (COOP) covers similar material, and when helping students prepare for this test, I have followed the same steps as for the HSPT. [more]
