I have a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D in chemical engineering. In college, I completed calculus 3 which was an entire course devoted to differential equations ( easy "A"). In both undergraduate and graduate schools, I completed classes in fluid dynamics, reaction kinetics as well as heat/mass transfer all of which required the use of differential equations. During my career at a major chemical company, I have used differential equations to understand and design chemical processes. Hello! My name is Art and I have degrees in Chemical Engineering (B.S., M.S., Ph.D.) from 2 top-tier (most selective) g [more]

To enable understanding of my qualifications to teach an advanced subject like differential equations, it is necessary to digress into my educational background. As an undergraduate in college, I changed majors and schools several times. My first choices were in the areas of astronomy and physics. At Ohio State I began taking the math courses required for these majors, which included differential equations. I subsequently transferred to Cleveland State for personal reasons, and found that a lot of my credits did not transfer from quarters to semesters. It was necessary for me to retake cl [more]

I passed the calculus exam here on Wyzant which involved a few differential equations. Also, I completed the most rigorous engineering major at Rutgers with respect to Math. All other engineering disciplines finished at Calculus 3 or 4, such as Industrial engineering, chemical engineering and computer engineering. My major, mechanical engineering, is the only one that required completion of Calculus 5 which was entirely on differential equations. (So was Calculus 4, for the most part.) Hi, I'm Xavier. I have never tutored for pay. However, I have tutored numerous family members (child an [more]

I have a Ph.D. In physics. This field makes extensive use of differential equations. I enjoy tutoring students in mathematics and I have tutored extensively in areas of higher math such as calculus, which includes differential equations. I have a Ph.D. in physics and chemistry, a Master's degree in physics, and an honors Bachelor of Science degree in physics with a minor in mathematics. My dissertation work involved computational solid-state theory, which allowed me to further develop skills in numerical analysis, math, and computer programming. I have taught at all levels and in many differen [more]

I have a BA degree in mathematics, and have taken the following courses related to DiffEq: Differential equations(mth 286), dynamical systems, mathematical modeling 1&2. I have also tutored in the Math Tutoring center, which often involved helping with these courses. I spent my undergraduate career working with the tutoring and academic success center at Cleveland state, and the math (only) tutoring center through the math department. I found, like many others, that it is a profoundly rewarding experience. My philosophy is simple, 'understanding is knowing what questions to ask'. Thus, you're [more]

I'm reasonably familiar, experienced, and competent with differential equations. See my profile for overview of my work. ?Master Tutor? of Both High School & College Mathematics & Sciences Courses. -I work mornings, afternoons, or evenings. A background check is on file with WyzAnt if you needed. -I travel around meeting students at schools, libraries, coffee houses, or homes. Usually meet at Barnes & Nobles...these work out very well. Some libraries also work well. I do not travel to various school campuses because of new parking restraints on non-student parking. Parents and studen [more]

I have learned Differential equations in my Bachelor's degree courses of Math & Physics. I have an experience of teaching differential equations in school for 15 years. I also have an experience of teaching Strongsville High School students. I have completed a Master's in Statistics, a Bachelor's in Statistics, Mathematics, & Physics (First Class First with Distinction), and also a Bachelor's in education, with a focus on Math & Science. I can teach all topics of Differential Equations confidently. Thanks. [more]
