I took a differential equations class as part of receiving my MS degree in Chemical Engineering. I love helping students master the tough math and science concepts. I hold a M.S. in Chemical Engineering from CU Boulder and have tutored clients off and on over the past 25 years. I have a comprehensive approach and love to use illustration to help communicate concepts. I can help your students in Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Physical Science, Life Science, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Physical Chemistry. I have had great success helping students move up their g... [more]

I have taken Differential Equations and passed with an A from RIT. I have further taken boundary value problems and graduate math I which involved partial differential equations. Both courses I have succeeded in and use differential equations in my engineering internships. I am a 4th year mechanical engineering student at Rochester Institute of Technology and am interning in the Boulder area for the summer. I enjoy tutoring STEM subjects and have been involved in tutoring students from RIT. It is extremely rewarding to be able to share my passion for learning and engineering. I am excited to [more]

Differential equations (both ordinary and partial) are a foundation for learning methods used to solve ODEs (for example Bernoulli and Euler style solution methods). Learning how to apply methods to apply to rate reperesentation of physical systems is part of learning how to deal with differential equations. Wronskian, Lyapunov style, predator-prey relationships, Euler 1st and 2nd equations, homogeneous and heterogeneous style, transformation -- Like Laplace, and Fourier) are some of the ways to assist in understanding how to solve these problems. I had a 4.0 GPA in mathematics and West Point. I tutored ten of my classmates in calculus, and have been tutoring for more that 40 years. I am working on a Master's in teaching and leadership. I have been educated in the area of addressing concerns in understanding through learning ladders. I listen, collaborate, and attain success in understanding complex mathematical issues. I have been tutoring mathematics since I was fourteen years old. I have tutored classmates in college in calculus. I have tutored at the local high school in the International Baccalaureate program. I am a subst [more]

I have a bachelor's degree in Engineering and I am working on a teaching degree. I very much enjoyed Differential Equations in College. Although I did very well in the course I have not had much need for it in my specific line of work. I have been tutoring largely Algebra and I would like to add more advanced mathematics courses. Therefore I am currently offering special pricing for diff eq students of $20/hour. Greetings and thank you for considering me to be your tutor. I love to understand how things work. I am very creative. These qualities help me to explain subjects in a manner that can [more]

I have completed college level Calculus 1 and Calculus 2, both with grades of A. I averaged A's on my quizzes and tests. My professors from these classes have written letters of recommendation for me. Succeeding academically throughout high school led me to think that I should pursue a career in law, but after attaining Bachelors in Political Science from UC Berkeley, a Masters in Special Education from Loyola Marymount, and reading a few spectacular books, I decided to return to school in pursuit of a childhood passion. I am now a transfer student at CU-Boulder and will begin classes to att [more]

Differential equations is a continuation of calculus topics. I took a course on differential equations in FIU and passed with an 'A'. Note, I scored 100 on all exams so I am familiar with the types of differential equations found in the course be it exact, seperable, Bernoulli, Laplace transforms, applications, etc. I help students who take the course throughout the school year in my department as well. I was a math major at the University of Colorado where I took differential equations and numerous upper division classes that used differential equation concepts. I have tutored friends in the subject when they were learning it themselves. I believe that the best way to learn differential equations is by simplifying the concepts down to easy to learn steps, and then understanding what each step is actually doing in a mathematical sense. Understanding WHY is just as important in differential equations as understanding HOW. [more]
