I have previously taken college level Differential Equations and was a teaching assistant in calculus. As a certified science, math and special education teacher, I enjoy working with students on a daily basis. I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Genetics as well as with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. My Master's degree is from the Warner School of Education in Inclusive Adolescent Science Education. My experience includes over 7 years of tutoring and/or teaching. I have helped students achieve success in every subje [more]

There are several methods I know to solve a diff eq as well as different type. There are linear, non-linear, first-order ODE, second order ODE, series, Eigenvalues/eigenvectors and more. All linear equations can be solved using linear method, undetermined coefficients, variation of parameters, wronskian, laplace transforms (w/ or w/o t or s shift), etc. Non-linear ODEs are usually solved numerically but there are some methods that can be done including caushy/euler, power series, etc. I have had experience experience with helping students in a diff. eq class back at my college days. At University of Binghamton I studied Differential Equations and Partial Differential Equations. I applied them in multiple classes such as fluid dynamics and in geophysics problems. I have text books still, and use my differential equations book often to find real world problems to use to teach from. (Physics BA, Math BA, Engineering AS). Most people don't like math. This makes doing it almost impossible. There are usually a few reasons for this: bad experience at school, never seeing the purpose, people withholding the whole picture for later development and never coming back to it because o [more]

I can teach ODES (1st and 2nd order), PDEs with separation of variables or with integral transforms. I can also solve ODEs and PDEs numerically with Runge-Kutta and finite differences (explicit or implicit). I have been successful tutoring students for the Regents, SAT, ACT exams, and in AP courses. I have also been successful tutoring college students in Engineering math, Matlab, Mech. Engineering courses (Stre. Mat, Elasticity, Numerical methods, Finite Elements, Statics, Dynamics, Heat Transfer). My industrial experience includes being R&D engineer for Xerox (Webster, NY) for 24 years; R& [more]

I have received an A in my differential equations class and have helped many of my peers throughout the semester. I have helped students with basic topics such as Laplace Transforms, Separable Equations, Undetermined Coefficients, etc. Overall I believe I am qualified enough to tutor this subject. I am a 3rd year Computer Engineering Student at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). I love helping others and have been helping many students throughout my time at RIT. Throughout my first year I spent time helping friends and peers with homework assignments and projects for the semester. In [more]

I have a Master's Degree in Mathematics. I have tutored in Mathematics for seven years. I have taken multiple Differential Equation courses for both my graduate and undergraduate degree. I worked as a mathematics tutor while getting my Masters degree. I then was an adjunct lecturer at SUNY Brockport for a semester. I have been working for 3 years at an online tutoring facility called Brainfuse Real-time tutoring and 4 years as an Instaedu/Chegg tutor. I have experience teaching a variety of mathematics topics; from Pre-algebra to topology. Most of the time, I help students work on their hom [more]
