I have a Masters degree in Mathematics and have tutored the subject in the past. I was a professor at the University of Miami that moved to Central Florida. I have more than 30 years experience tutoring math/physics courses and can (and have taught) from High school to PhD-level math courses and from high school to 2nd year in college physics courses. I love teaching and have taught/tutored from the time I was 13 years old. I always had a passion about math as a subject. I was 13 years old when I had calculus and graduated high school when I was 15 years old. I was a... [more]

I have been a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Auburn University for the last four years. I am qualified to teach differential equations. I took DE and made a B when I was completing my BS in Physics and BS in Astronomy. I also studied physics in graduate school for 4 years and it demanded not only the understanding of differential equations but the use of differential calculus. Hi! Through my tutoring experiences, I have found that students have different needs and expectations from a tutoring session. My tutoring style and methods adapt to fit those needs and expectations. That is, I don't hav [more]

I have a strong working knowledge of differential equations from my coursework at UCF. I took a course specifically on differential equations, and several courses before and since using the methods studied in that course. While I have not tutored differential equations in the past, I have had much more recent experience with the material than I have had with other subjects that I tutor. I am a recent graduate of UCF with a bachelor?s degree in mathematics and over two years of tutoring and classroom teaching experience. During my time in Seminole County Public schools, I have taught Algebra 1 [more]

I have a BS in Physics with Math Minor. I completed my PhD in Geology & Geophysics from Yale University. Differential Equations is used extensively in physics and geophysics degrees. I'm Joe! I graduated from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor's of Science with Honors in Physics, with minors in Mathematics and Astronomy. Afterwards, I completed my PhD in Geology & Geophysics from Yale University. During my time, I realized the most rewarding classes were those that were challenging and approachable. Part of the difficulty with many topics is that it is either challenging but [more]

At the core of my studies as a mathematician is differential equations. I am currently studying complex analysis which has everything to do with differential equations. I have taken over half a dozen courses on the subject itself and many more courses which involve differential equations. In the study of mathematics whenever you are dealing with change or rates of change you will more than likely encounter a differential equation as a model for the event which is being studied. I have extensive background dealing with both ordinary and partial differential equations and have access to reso [more]

I have a PhD in physics which involves solving many different kinds of differential equations. I have also taught an undergraduate course in differential equations and taken several applied math courses that deal with differential equations. I also work with students to teach them better study habits and test taking techniques. After starting out as an engineer, I now have 16 years of experience as a math, physics and electronics teacher and 7 years experience as a tutor. Here are five reasons that You might like to have me tutor you or your children. (1) First of all, I know the materia [more]

I have tutored differential equations in the past. I have also graded assignments for differential equations. In addition, I have taken an intro level differential equations course, a systems of differential equations course and a partial differential equations course. The lowest grade that I have received in any of these three courses is a 3.7. I am lifelong student with a passion for mathematics and tutoring mathematics. As a physics major, I am well aware that hard work and perseverance to learning mathematics can pay off. While working on my bachelors degree I had the opportunity to tutor [more]

Differential equations is one of the coolest areas of math. I can confidently say this given the plethora of Diff EQ classes I've taken. It's all about being comfortable with the various different methods. Since I love linear algebra so much, I really like annihilator polynomials. My favorite method is probably power series though. I like to try to do power series first when solving a diff eq. Gotta love solving those recurrence relations! It's crazy because when you study calc 2 it's really not obvious at all that sequences would play so heavily in the study of DE. [more]

I have taken several classes in differential equations at both the undergraduate and graduate level, including, but not limited to, differential equations (undergrad), partial differential equations (undergrad), nonlinear DE (grad), PDE (grad), advanced PDE, nonlinear dynamics, advanced nonlinear dynamics, advanced math for engineers. Additionally, solving differential equations was a major part of my dissertation and a component of many classes that had DE as a prerequisite. I have a PhD in Mathematics. I have 8 years of teaching experience at the nation's second largest university (in terms [more]
