I took a class in discrete applied mathematics at M.I.T. I took a class in number theory. I also took a class in combinatorics. I taught myself probability and passed the actuarial probability exam. (I had the deeper theoretical background of measure theory, and simply coupled it with the combinatorics.) I studied mathematics at M.I.T. for many years. I came to Georgia to get a doctorate in philosophy. I have been teaching and tutoring for a decade at various colleges, including Athens Technical College, University of Georgia, Piedmont College, and the University of South Carolina, Upstate. [more]

I have a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in mathematics. I have taught, tutored or taken classes in sets, sequences, summations, permutations and combinations, probability, graph theory, automata theory, computational complexity, number theory (congruence and recurrence relations), relations and logic. I have a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in mathematics. I have six years of formal math teaching and tutoring experience. My experience includes working with students from middle school through university graduate school. I have provided formal tutoring to traditional and non-t [more]

I took and earned an A in MA 293, a discrete mathematics course at Boston University where I received my BA in mathematics. In my physics studies I have applied my knowledge of discrete mathematics to statistical mechanics, where combinatorics define the probabilities of configurations of particles and lay the foundations of statistical distributions. When appropriate, I have tutored my colleagues in various topics in discrete mathematics such as set theory, counting, and propositional logic. I have tutored through the National Honor Society. I've been tutoring and working with a wide variety of discrete mathematics courses and problem types for some 20 years. These include analysis of properties and methods related to discrete probability distributions, including methods involving pmfs and moments. I've also worked with courses and problems involving logic, information theory and set theory, and typical courses and related problems used in introduction to discrete math for computer programmers, including proving concepts around integers and sums. I have also worked extensively with graph theory, discrete calculus and analysis, t [more]

My undergraduate and graduate coursework included a wide range of subjects. This includes courses such Topology, Number Theory, Abstract Algebra and much more. Therefore I am certain that I can tutor discrete math excellently. I have worked in the school community for over five years and I have worked in all avenues of education. I have successfully completed my math content GACE exams, which make a highly qualified teacher for 6-12 grade mathematics. I have taught all levels of mathematics, starting from the elementary level all the way to the college.I have successfully assisted in curriculu [more]

I have been a statistics and mathematics tutor for over fifteen years. I have tutored middle school, high school, college undergraduate, and college graduate students in geometry, algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, probability and statistics, Microsoft Excel, and ACT/SAT/GRE/GMAT Math Prep. My relevant job experiences include teaching statistics and probability courses at the college level at Purdue University for two years, where I received a Graduate Student Teaching Certifi... I am a math major at Wesleyan College and have tutored students for the college. Additionally, I got an A in the course. My name is Chelsea and I am returning to Altanta from the Anniston, AL area. With my bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Wesleyan College and brief experience as a high school math teacher, I am confident that I can help with all of your math needs. Looking forward to becoming your tutor!... [more]

I received an A in Discrete Mathematics at College. The course covered sets, symbolic logic, proof structures, graph theory, sequences, recursion, and more. I have also taken many logic and proof courses that use Discrete Mathematics. Therefore, I have a lot of practice and experience in the subject. Hi, I graduated from Berry College with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration in 2015. While at Berry, I worked in the college's Math Lab as well as at the local Open Door Home. I moved to Athens, Georgia after graduation to work for the univeristy while simultaneously pursui [more]

I have dealt with discrete and continuous math problems through my data analyses research experiences. During my PhD studies I have worked with a great number of data falling in various categories including discrete data, continuous, and binary data. Mathematical modeling and statistical analysis of such data are all making up my experiences with math and statistics. I have taken many opportunities to teach and tutor while pursuing my degrees. During my MS and PhD programs I have acquired a strong foundation in traffic engineering, traffic flow theory, capacity and level of service analysis, s [more]

I completed both an undergraduate and graduate level course in Discrete Math. The two courses were part of the Mathematics undergraduate curriculum and graduate program with a majority of the focus on proving theorems. My name is Michael and I hold a B.S degree in Mathematics and completed 28 hours of graduate work in Mathematics/Statistics at Eastern Michigan University. I am currently certified to teach all levels of middle and high school mathematics, physics, and economics. Prior to earning my B.S degree, my previous major was Engineering. The combination of my college course work left me [more]
