I have taken Discrete Mathematics and applied it in on the job. Indeed, I have also studied Discrete Math in Proofs. But where I have mostly applied Discrete Math is at my jobs. I have a degree in Math so I can surely teach you how to apply this subject to your major or class of interest. Hello everyone! My name is Akeme U. I am a current Mid-Level Software Engineer and Wyzant Tutor happily married to my wife with a sweet little baby daughter. Even though I have a very analytical career, however I have worked as a Spanish Medical and Business Interpreter and exercised much of my knowledge. I [more]

I took a class in discrete applied mathematics at M.I.T. I took a class in number theory. I also took a class in combinatorics. I taught myself probability and passed the actuarial probability exam. (I had the deeper theoretical background of measure theory, and simply coupled it with the combinatorics.) I studied mathematics at M.I.T. for many years. I came to Georgia to get a doctorate in philosophy. I have been teaching and tutoring for a decade at various colleges, including Athens Technical College, University of Georgia, Piedmont College, and the University of South Carolina, Upstate. [more]

I took Discrete Math when I was in college. I think this is the easiest college math course I know. I received an A in college, and I was close to perfection. I have tutored Discrete Math to local students for over 15 years. As a student, I was gifted in math. I went through school rarely scoring anything lower than a 95 in math courses. I routinely tested in the 99 percentile on standardized test, and as a 6th grader test showed I was already beyond the 11th grade level. I finished several college math courses with a 105 average. I started tutoring math in January of 2001. I have math tutorin [more]

My internship through UNCW has placed me in many different classes, including discrete math. It was my first experience with discrete math but I was able to create and teach lesson plans after working with the teacher during planning. After my experience in the two blocks of this course I am now comfortable with discrete math and have many activities and resources for this course. I graduated from UNCW with my B.A. in mathematics. I am using this degree to obtain a position as a high school math teacher. I have been employed by New Hanover County Schools for over three years as well as private [more]
