As an undergraduate at UTA, I have taken discrete mathematics and advanced discrete mathematics. I did well in both courses, and I thoroughly enjoyed the material. I've worked in a tutoring or teaching role for most of my adult life, and I love helping other people learn! While earning my B.S. in math, I worked in my university's math clinic, tutoring a variety of (math) subjects, and while I was in graduate school I was a teaching assistant in the math department for two years, and for one year I worked in a high school geometry classroom, both enriching the students' education and my abilit [more]

In the Spring semester of 2014, I took MATH 210 which is Discrete Math and my final grade is A. I really enjoyed the course and I want to share my experience with the students who need my support. I majored in Secondary Math Education at Salisbury University and I am certified to teach math 7-12. I have worked as a Math Tutor at Salisbury University as well as the Supplemental Instructor in Calculus II. I have finished a 100 day internship at both the middle and high school teaching Algebra II and Geometry as well as 6th grade math. I love Math and teaching. I can teach Math from the beginner' [more]

I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. One of the many classes I took was discrete mathematics and received an A in that course. I am very good at math, and even though it has been years since I have taken that course, I have been tutoring students in all levels of math independently since I left college and have never met a student that I couldn't help. I am a new tutor to this website, but I have been tutoring and helping others for years on my own. I would be happy to provide references to anyone who needs them. My love for the subject of math, physics, [more]

I registered for Discrete Math during the fall 2014 semester at El Centro College in Dallas, Texas. I completed the course and received an 'A' in the course. I have been working as a Math Tutor for the last 1 1/2 years. Hello, My name is Lidia Villegas D. I am a Senior at UNT where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Math. I am a math lab specialist who currently tutors many high school and college students from Pre-Algebra through Calculus. I am very aware of all the math concepts that these students are studying. I would love to tutor you or your child in math to have fun with it a [more]

During my graduate work in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas, I taught undergraduate Discrete Math multiple semesters from 1988-1990. I also tutored mathematics courses at Abilene Christian 1970-71, In the early 80s, wrote and taught four electronics and communications seminars in industry. GM, USAF, USN, and nuclear power generation companies were primary clients. Two courses were written on request from GM. Today I assist in training Neuro-Linguistic classes occasionally in Plano. I majored in engineering and minored in math. My career was in telecom/computers with extensive mathematical analytics. I tutor almost any college and high school math course. I get a thrill in watching the light turn on students' heads when they see how easy math can be once it's explained properly to them. I hear "My child has this or that learning problem..." but I've not met one yet that can't improve. I instill a lot of CONFIDENCE IN MATH in them. I've always tutored my 2 daughters... [more]

I got my Bachelor of Science degree at Liberty University and I was a mathematics major. I have worked for the mathematical department of Liberty University since August 2012. I took Discrete Math in the Fall of 2012 and I started tutoring for this course at Liberty University. I just graduate from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Math. I worked as a tutor/ grader for the mathematics department since August 2012. During these two years tutoring, I learned how to explain mathematical concept to students of various proficiency levels and I learned how to be patient with students [more]

I have studied Graph Theory at the graduate level and often dabble in enumerative combinatorics. My (over 10 years) experience in computer science has allowed me to get exposure to areas such as algorithmic complexity and finite state automata. As a graduate student of pure mathematics, logic and proof principles (such as induction) are of paramount importance in my day to day routines. I have had the Discrete Math class at the undergraduate level and really enjoyed it. I also tutored several students in this area and look forward to more opportunities as it is one of my favorite areas. [more]

Besides a math PhD, I taught discrete math at least five times at college level for math and CS majors. My research field was in combinatorics and algebra, both of which overlap discrete math. I wrote several reviews for textbooks with titles like "discrete mathematics" or "mathematical foundation for computer science". I graduated from Colorado State University in May 2000 with MS in computer science and in May 2004 with a PhD in mathematics. I have taught mathematics and computer science at Colorado State University and Emory University. The courses I have taught include pre-calculus, calcul [more]

I have taken both Discrete Math I & II in college as well as numerous courses above these. I also have tutored Discrete Math I & II for a semester at UT Dallas as well as other related courses. I also have experience tutoring students in other mathematics. I have a master's degree in Computer Science focusing in Information Assurance at The University of Texas at Dallas. I have a master's degree in Computer Science focusing in Information Assurance at The University of Texas at Dallas. During my stay there, I worked as a tutor in Discrete Math. Of course, I would get students coming to me for [more]
