I took an honors discrete math at the University of Texas at Austin and I got a very high A in it. I later graded for this same class and I also graded for a different discrete class. I also took and graded a Number Theory class (which is very similar) and I have taken many abstract Algebra courses that are also very similar. Discrete math is basically an introduction to proofs and basic logic all of which is extremely abundant throughout the major in mathematics. I am currently in my fourth year of graduate studies in the mathematics PhD program at the University of Iowa, and I have a Maste [more]

I completed a discrete mathematics course at Washburn as part of my undergraduate mathematics minor. I took the class in the spring of 2006. I have helped several students with the course since then and have revisited many of the concepts in my further studies. I enjoy making math and science more fun and understandable for middle school, high school, and college students. I graduated in spring '08 with a BS in Physics and Math and in spring '10 with a Master's in Engineering from Colorado School of Mines. I was the physics department tutor and supplemental instructor in college for three [more]

I have a BA in Mathematics from Ohio State University and an MA in Mathematics from the University of Kansas. I have taken multiple courses in combinatorics and one class entitled discrete math. In addition I have complete research in combinatorics. I have a BA in mathematics from Ohio State University and am working on completing an MA in mathematics at the University of Kansas. I have taught many of the lower-level math courses offered at KU and have tutored students in many of the upper-level courses. I have a pretty wide availability this semester and can meet you either in Anschutz, Watso [more]

Finite Math is often an alternative term for discrete math. I have experience with this at the community college level. Finite math often includes probability, statistics, as well as possibly linear programming, matrices, math modelling, and many other various topics. Having taught at the high school level, and currently teaching at a local community college and tutoring at that college as well, I have worked with many different topics. I have taught in the public schools for several years as well at the community college level. I enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities. I [more]

I've taken Algebra 1 and 2. Within those classes, there are discrete questions. I proved to not be too difficult for me to handle these problems as I did well. Hello! My name is Kayla. I live in Brentwood CA and am wanting to move to Nebraska with my boyfriend as soon as possible. Here, I work for the Antioch Unified School District with kids without, but mostly with special needs, ages preschool to middle school. I absolutely love my job, love kids and would love one similar in Nebraska. I help the kids with their behavior and schooling. Children are so important to me and I believe they need [more]

My usage of discrete math has been primarily in the form of computer programming and computer logic. For several years I did custom programming for several systems. I (along with a partner) developed a complete computerized auto body system that was used completely manage an auto body shop form measuring damage in vehicles to shop management. It could be used by all the auto body systems. I have 10 years teaching experience at Jr Hi, Secondary, and Post-Secondary levels. I hold a FCC Commercial Radiotelephone and Amateur Extra Licenses. I am located in Sturgeon - midway between Columbia, Mob [more]

I am a Secondary Education Major who specializes in a variety of Mathematics. In 2010 I received an "A" grade in my discrete mathematics equations class. I still have the textbook and I apply the concepts learned in that class in not just math but all of my studied subjects, including a paper that I am working to to get published that involves the validity of statements when it come to the history of my University. I am currently tutoring a college Junior in their discrete mathematics class and they have shown great improvement from week to week. [more]
