Discrete math is used extensively in digital signal processing. It was required by all graduate students in Electrical Engineering at BYU were I earned my degree. I also used discrete math as an undergraduate in my course work for Electrical and Computer Engineering where I graduated Cum Laude. I took separate classes in the study of algorithms, combinatorics (permutations/combination), graph theory, and order/lattices, passing each course with an A- or higher. I have tutored hundreds of students in math, science, and engineering over the past 25 years. I worked in the BYU Math Lab to pay m [more]

In the Spring semester of 2014, I took MATH 210 which is Discrete Math and my final grade is A. I really enjoyed the course and I want to share my experience with the students who need my support. I majored in Secondary Math Education at Salisbury University and I am certified to teach math 7-12. I have worked as a Math Tutor at Salisbury University as well as the Supplemental Instructor in Calculus II. I have finished a 100 day internship at both the middle and high school teaching Algebra II and Geometry as well as 6th grade math. I love Math and teaching. I can teach Math from the beginner' [more]

I am an experienced college tutor in Discrete Math. I.T. professional - analyst and programmer experienced in writing definitions which require examining all possibilities using logic and other theoretical and logical tools. Received a firm understanding of objectives while taking the class in college and have formed prerequisites, lessons, practice and self-examination that foster student success. EVERY SINGLE MATH STUDENT I TUTORED LAST YEAR PASSED ALL STANDARDIZED TESTS! I'M COMMITTED TO STUDENT SUCCESS. I TAKE IT PERSONAL. I WOULD NOT ALLOW MY CHILD TO FAIL AND I FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT YO [more]

Last year, I worked a hundred or so Discrete Math questions simply to review the subject for future students. While earning my Math degree, I took a course titled Advanced Discrete Math, a course titled Logic and a Computer Science course titled Theoretical Concepts. The degree included 21 more hours of Computer Science which included applications of discrete math such as Boolean Algebra, recursion and Venn diagrams. Hello, It's great to hear from you. I really enjoy tutoring and am looking forward to working with you. Whether you dislike math, have forgotten it, or simply need to brush up [more]

I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. One of the many classes I took was discrete mathematics and received an A in that course. I am very good at math, and even though it has been years since I have taken that course, I have been tutoring students in all levels of math independently since I left college and have never met a student that I couldn't help. I am a new tutor to this website, but I have been tutoring and helping others for years on my own. I would be happy to provide references to anyone who needs them. My love for the subject of math, physics, [more]

As an undergraduate at UTA, I have taken discrete mathematics and advanced discrete mathematics. I did well in both courses, and I thoroughly enjoyed the material. I've worked in a tutoring or teaching role for most of my adult life, and I love helping other people learn! While earning my B.S. in math, I worked in my university's math clinic, tutoring a variety of (math) subjects, and while I was in graduate school I was a teaching assistant in the math department for two years, and for one year I worked in a high school geometry classroom, both enriching the students' education and my abilit [more]

As a computer science student, I took Discrete Math I and Discrete Math II, and received A's in both courses. I then worked as a mentor at the Discrete Math Mentor Center at UT Dallas for 1.5 years. I tutored students one-on-one as well as in groups on various discrete math topics, such as proofs and set theory. Hello! I'm Nazeera. I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science. I simply love to help people learn. I love to see that light-bulb moment when a student understands a concept or solves a problem. I have experience with tutoring students from elementary s [more]

I've taken discrete math classes, graded for discrete math classes, tutored discrete math classes, and if I wanted to I could probably teach them here at UNT. I know the ins and outs of the subject quite well. I'm a graduate student working on a PhD in mathematics at UNT. As an undergrad I went from an English major to a film major to a computer engineering major before finishing with my math degree. This means that I have a lot of experience with physics, engineering, and computer science, and can easily help with those subjects as well. It also means that I know where the math comes into [more]

I studied Discrete Math in college in my Discrete Math and Combinatorics classes, prior to obtaining my B.A. in Mathematics with a 3.93 GPA. I have also actively used discrete math concepts in my graduate studies in statistics and in the past 10 years of practical application of statistics and probability. First and foremost, I am a teacher that always finds a way to connect to each individual's way of thinking, always striving to find the words of explanation that make a concept click for them. I have experience as a statistics lecturer at Ohio State, and also as a working statistician in th [more]

I registered for Discrete Math during the fall 2014 semester at El Centro College in Dallas, Texas. I completed the course and received an 'A' in the course. I have been working as a Math Tutor for the last 1 1/2 years. Hello, My name is Lidia. I am a Senior at UNT where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Math and expect to complete in the summer of 2018. I am a math lab specialist who currently tutors many high school and college students from Pre-Algebra through Calculus. I am very aware of all the math concepts that these students are studying. I would love to tutor you or your c [more]
