I have taught Discrete Math once at the freshman level, and I have taught Finite Math several times. In fact, I was a champion of curriculum reform at one university where I was teaching in order to bring a Discrete Math course into our courses. Needless to say, not only do I know a lot about the topics in Discrete Math, but I also enjoy those topics! I hold two master's degrees -- one in applied mathematics, one in physics. I started teaching math in 1999. While many of the intervening years saw me as a part-time adjunct instructor of mathematics, I did enjoy a full-time appointment to the ma [more]

I've been tutoring and working with a wide variety of discrete mathematics courses and problem types for some 20 years. These include analysis of properties and methods related to discrete probability distributions, including methods involving pmfs and moments. I've also worked with courses and problems involving logic, information theory and set theory, and typical courses and related problems used in introduction to discrete math for computer programmers, including proving concepts around integers and sums. I have also worked extensively with graph theory, discrete calculus and analysis, t [more]

I taught Discrete Mathematics several times. I took two courses related to discrete mathematics. I have a Ph.D. in Mathematics. I am a productive Mathematician working and living in Jackson area. I am looking to tutor and help students with their math skills. I am qualified to teach and tutor students in all areas of math including Algebra I & II, College Algebra, Calculus I-III, Statistics and Probability, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, Discrete Mathematics and so on. I am also fluent in Chinese. Please contact me if you need helps.... [more]

I recently graduated cum laude from Florida State University with bachelors degrees in both Physics and Pure Mathematics. During the course of my math curriculum I took a variety of courses dealing with topics integral to the study of Discrete mathematics. Examples of such course work include abstract algebra and introduction to set theory, and advanced calculus. In the end I have extensive experience in topics taught in discrete math courses and other math subjects and their applications to real world problems through my study of physics. [more]

I took and earned an A in MA 293, a discrete mathematics course at Boston University where I received my BA in mathematics. In my physics studies I have applied my knowledge of discrete mathematics to statistical mechanics, where combinatorics define the probabilities of configurations of particles and lay the foundations of statistical distributions. When appropriate, I have tutored my colleagues in various topics in discrete mathematics such as set theory, counting, and propositional logic. I have tutored through the National Honor Society. I taught Math 110 (Discrete Math) several times at UAH. These are the topics, straight from the catalog's course description: ? college algebra ? sets and the algebra of sets, including the set operations and relations ? logic and the algebra of logic, including logical operations and relations ? combinatorics, including permutations and combinations ? elementary probability and its applications ? descriptive statistics ? an introduction to matrices and their operations and applications Hi, I'm Cliff. I own a Master's in Math (UAH 2004) and have twelve years experience as a math instructor [more]

I have been a statistics and mathematics tutor for over fifteen years. I have tutored middle school, high school, college undergraduate, and college graduate students in geometry, algebra, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, probability and statistics, Microsoft Excel, and ACT/SAT/GRE/GMAT Math Prep. My relevant job experiences include teaching statistics and probability courses at the college level at Purdue University for two years, where I received a Graduate Student Teaching Certifi... I received an A in Discrete Mathematics at College. The course covered sets, symbolic logic, proof structures, graph theory, sequences, recursion, and more. I have also taken many logic and proof courses that use Discrete Mathematics. Therefore, I have a lot of practice and experience in the subject. Hi, I graduated from Berry College with a BS in Mathematics and a minor in Business Administration in 2015. While at Berry, I worked in the college's Math Lab as well as at the local Open Door Home. I moved to Athens, Georgia after graduation to work for the univeristy while simultaneously pursui [more]

I have taught college level business mathematics, which deals with introductions to systems of equations, vectors, graph modeling, probability models, and business models that are limited to the real number system. On October 7, 2013, I completed my PhD in Mathematics and Science Education. My accomplishment demonstrates that it is possible to overcome life's obstacles. As a teenager, I hated math and struggled with it during my middle and high school years. My father, on the other hand, being a great mathematician, motivated me to learn the subject. I have been where you are. I understand the [more]
