Discrete mathematics is concerned with the relationships among mathematical structures that are discrete instead of continuous. For example, the arithmetic of integers would be a topic in discrete mathematics, whereas the arithmetic of all real numbers is in the realm of continuous mathematics. Broadly speaking, the topics in discrete mathematics include, but are not limited to, the following: logic, proofs, set theory, number theory, linear algebra, graph theory, probability, permutations and combinations, algorithms, and computability theory. I have experience in these areas through my un [more]

I registered for Discrete Math during the fall 2014 semester at El Centro College in Dallas, Texas. I completed the course and received an 'A' in the course. I have been working as a Math Tutor for the last 1 1/2 years. Hello, My name is Lidia Villegas D. I am a Senior at UNT where I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Math. I am a math lab specialist who currently tutors many high school and college students from Pre-Algebra through Calculus. I am very aware of all the math concepts that these students are studying. I would love to tutor you or your child in math to have fun with it a [more]

In the Spring semester of 2014, I took MATH 210 which is Discrete Math and my final grade is A. I really enjoyed the course and I want to share my experience with the students who need my support. I majored in Secondary Math Education at Salisbury University and I am certified to teach math 7-12. I have worked as a Math Tutor at Salisbury University as well as the Supplemental Instructor in Calculus II. I have finished a 100 day internship at both the middle and high school teaching Algebra II and Geometry as well as 6th grade math. I love Math and teaching. I am an experienced college tutor in Discrete Math. I.T. professional - analyst and programmer experienced in writing definitions which require examining all possibilities using logic and other theoretical and logical tools. Received a firm understanding of objectives while taking the class in college and have formed prerequisites, lessons, practice and self-examination that foster student success. EVERY SINGLE MATH STUDENT I TUTORED LAST YEAR PASSED ALL STANDARDIZED TESTS! I'M COMMITTED TO STUDENT SUCCESS. I TAKE IT PERSONAL. I studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. One of the many classes I took was discrete mathematics and received an A in that course. I am very good at math, and even though it has been years since I have taken that course, I have been tutoring students in all levels of math independently since I left college and have never met a student that I couldn't help. I am a new tutor to this website, but I have been tutoring and helping others for years on my own. I would be happy to provide references to anyone who needs them. My love for the subject of math, physics, [more]

I have been teaching discrete mathematics for more than 20 years at a variety of levels. My Ph.D. and patents in chemistry, biochemistry, and physics are based upon advanced mathematics related to discrete mathematics and topological functions. Dear Prospective Student and Parent: My goal before I retire is to obtain for my students >$30,000,000 dollars in scholarships. I am continuously looking for students in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, with a smaller number of selective students in Medicine for 7 year medical programs. I attended advanced institutes for 11 years of educatio [more]

I double majored in economics and mathematics at the University of Arkansas. I received an A in my Discrete Mathematics course and a GPA average higher than 3.5 in my mathematics courses. Hello, I have recently moved to the DFW area to begin my career as a quantitative analyst for a large company--and to be honest, I miss teaching/tutoring. I have extensive experience as a teacher and a tutor. As an undergraduate student, I was a supplemental instructor for economics and tutored in math. I continued to tutor on the side in graduate school while I studied economics and was also a teacher's assi [more]

During my graduate work in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas, I taught undergraduate Discrete Math multiple semesters from 1988-1990. I also tutored mathematics courses at Abilene Christian 1970-71, In the early 80s, wrote and taught four electronics and communications seminars in industry. GM, USAF, USN, and nuclear power generation companies were primary clients. Two courses were written on request from GM. Today I assist in training Neuro-Linguistic classes occasionally in Plano. I got my Bachelor of Science degree at Liberty University and I was a mathematics major. I have worked for the mathematical department of Liberty University since August 2012. I took Discrete Math in the Fall of 2012 and I started tutoring for this course at Liberty University. I just graduate from Liberty University with a Bachelor of Science in Math. I worked as a tutor/ grader for the mathematics department since August 2012. During these two years tutoring, I learned how to explain mathematical concept to students of various proficiency levels and I learned how to be patient with students [more]

I hold both B.S. and M.S. degrees in Physics. My doctorate is in Radiological Science (an applied field of physics). In my courses, we applied many techniques of discrete math, especially in the fields of statistical mechanics and quantum. I can still distinctly remember those sections of the textbook! I am an accomplished technical problem-solver with over 18 years of professional experience in teaching, medical imaging, image processing, optical engineering, and defense. I have an advanced scientific education with outstanding technical, communication and leadership skills. I graduated [more]
