Because so many different mathematical disciplines fall under the umbrella of "discrete mathematics," it takes a "big picture" point of view to really appreciate the vast implications of its principal results. Counting, logic, set theory, probability, number theory, and several more subjects are all contained under the characterization "discrete math," as they all deal with constructions related to operations taken over the integers, and not requiring the full contiuum of real numbers, as in analysis. As a mathematics major and longtime tutor, I'm uniquely qualified to make sure students are [more]

I took Discrete Math when I was in college. I think this is the easiest college math course I know. I received an A in college, and I was close to perfection. I have tutored Discrete Math to local students for over 15 years. As a student, I was gifted in math. I went through school rarely scoring anything lower than a 95 in math courses. I routinely tested in the 99 percentile on standardized test, and as a 6th grader test showed I was already beyond the 11th grade level. I finished several college math courses with a 105 average. I started tutoring math in January of 2001. I have math tutorin [more]

Discrete mathematics is the concentration of my math degree, and it is really where my passion lies. I have studied basic discrete topics such as: set theory, cominatorics, graph theory, computing theory, and biomathematics. I prefer these topics in mathematics over the continuous side of mathematics such as calculus. My name is Caleb, your future mathematics tutor! I received my B.S. in Discrete Mathematics with a minor in computer science from the University of North Florida. In addition to my degree, I have over 5 years of teaching experience in various outlets at all levels from elementary [more]
