As an introduction to counting methods (combinatorics) and proofs, Discrete Math is one of the first proofs courses I took at UT-Austin. I made an A in the class as well as in many other related upper division math classes, including Linear Algebra, Probability, Real Analysis and Topology. Although I have seen variability in the difficulty of this class, based on the aims of the different teachers teaching them, I have yet to need to turn anyone away and feel very comfortable with the material. Discrete math, including set algebra and logic, is often used in the more theoretical parts of computer science. I have taken such courses and done well in them, as well as informally tutoring fellow students. I've learned set theory and other such things starting in middle school, so I am thoroughly familiar with it all. Hello! I'm a 28 year-old with a teaching certificate from Texas State University. I have a master's in computer science from Texas State as well and got my bachelor's from Washington University in St Louis. Though my degrees are in CS, I also have a strong background in math [more]

I am Texas certified LIFE for all mathematics for MS and High School I believe in the building block methods; proceed to next assignment when ready. I am a Texas certified Math teacher with a BS and M/Ed majoring in math and education from Texas State. I will help one to succeed and pass school math tests and prepare for graduation. I am Texas certified in Math/Comp.Sci. I will need to see the text, assignments by the teacher, past tests, and areas of miss-understanding.... [more]

I taught over 4 years at Yeditepe University, Istanbul, Turkey Computer Engineering Students Discrete Math Teaching is an art of loving and empathy. You should realize the limitations and skill sets of your students, and tune your teaching accordingly. I had been tutoring and teaching different courses over the last thirty years; Pre-Calculus Computer Programming, Soccer Officiating, Discreet Math, e-Business, Presentation Techniques to name a few. In this diverse spectrum, I found ways of reaching the hearts and minds of my students, so at the end of the day I was able to pass most of the in [more]

I am an engineer that is very interested in mathematics education and have done extensive tutoring n the area of discrete mathematics in the past. Linear programming is a method of determining best possible outcomes when provided with mathematical constraints or parameters that are expressed in different fashions and is one of the main areas of endeavor in discrete math. discrete mathematics is separate from other areas of mathematics that are continuous such as calculus. Counting principles, probability, combinations, and permutation computation are also covered here. This includes ordered an [more]

I have have great and extensive knowledge and unique tutoring methods for mathematics and science. I can not only help u understand these subjects but give u a more grasp on how to use the teachings for your personal use and development in life. I have a great and extensive knowledge with a unique tutoring method for mathematics and science. Not only I can help you understand these subjects, but give you a more knowlegable grasp on how to use these strategies from my teachings for your personal use and development in life.... [more]

I have a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the University of Dallas. Course work there included discrete math. Course name at the University of Dallas was Linear Point Set Theory. Other coursework included college algebra, computer science, game theory, probability, number theory, and topology. Since discrete math is a wide subject, potential tutoring in this area would likely require a vetting process to ensure there is a good intersection between what is needed and my background. [more]

Discrete Math was a mandatory course for computer science majors. I excelled in this course and learned subjects ranging from basic logical statements to Big O notations and Graph Theory. I am a freshman in University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a Bachelors in Computer Science. I am strongly passionate about Information Technology and Internet of Things. I have 2+ years in object oriented programming, specifically JAVA development. Recently, I have gained exposure to C++, Python, and basic IT protocols. Alongside, I have basic understanding of genetic and various optimization algorithms assoc [more]

My bachelor honors thesis was on a question from graph theory which is a portion of discrete mathematics. Completing this thesis required a considerable knowledge of discrete mathematics. I carried out consider research of the existing literature in the field using online resources, inter-library loan, and visiting half dozen university libraries. After this I wrote proofs hoping to expand the field. I also tutored topics from the field of discrete mathematics while math lab coordinator at North Greenville University. [more]

I have taken many classes that deal directly or indirectly with discrete math. I have tutored a handful of students in discrete math as well as taught an entry level Discrete Math course as a PhD student. I'm a Math PhD student here at Texas A&M University. I've been tutoring in Math, Chemistry, and Physics for more than a decade. I've worked privately and for tutoring companies. I also have teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant across all of my degrees. I can tutor virtually any level of math from middle school through undergraduate coursework. I can even tutor certain graduate level co [more]
