As an introduction to counting methods (combinatorics) and proofs, Discrete Math is one of the first proofs courses I took at UT-Austin. I made an A in the class as well as in many other related upper division math classes, including Linear Algebra, Probability, Real Analysis and Topology. Although I have seen variability in the difficulty of this class, based on the aims of the different teachers teaching them, I have yet to need to turn anyone away and feel very comfortable with the material. I am Texas certified LIFE for all mathematics for MS and High School I believe in the building block methods; proceed to next assignment when ready. I am a Texas certified Math teacher with a BS and M/Ed majoring in math and education from Texas State. I will help one to succeed and pass school math tests and prepare for graduation. I am Texas certified in Math/Comp.Sci. I will need to see the text, assignments by the teacher, past tests, and areas of miss-understanding.... [more]

I have a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from the University of Dallas. Course work there included discrete math. Course name at the University of Dallas was Linear Point Set Theory. Other coursework included college algebra, computer science, game theory, probability, number theory, and topology. Since discrete math is a wide subject, potential tutoring in this area would likely require a vetting process to ensure there is a good intersection between what is needed and my background. [more]

I have have great and extensive knowledge and unique tutoring methods for mathematics and science. I can not only help u understand these subjects but give u a more grasp on how to use the teachings for your personal use and development in life. I have a great and extensive knowledge with a unique tutoring method for mathematics and science. Not only I can help you understand these subjects, but give you a more knowlegable grasp on how to use these strategies from my teachings for your personal use and development in life.... [more]

As an undergraduate mathematics major, I studied all the topics covered in a typical discrete mathematics course (e.g., Math 302 at Texas A&M) at a much deeper level than such a course requires. If you're stumped by the Euclidean Algorithm or logical operators, I can help you surmount these difficulties. I can keep your head from spinning over mathematics, economics, statistics, physics, or logic. I?ve been tutoring individual students and groups at the college and high school level for over four years. I?ve worked with students enrolled at Texas A&M, Blinn College, local public & private high [more]

My bachelor honors thesis was on a question from graph theory which is a portion of discrete mathematics. Completing this thesis required a considerable knowledge of discrete mathematics. I carried out consider research of the existing literature in the field using online resources, inter-library loan, and visiting half dozen university libraries. After this I wrote proofs hoping to expand the field. I also tutored topics from the field of discrete mathematics while math lab coordinator at North Greenville University. [more]

Discrete Math is often an overlooked and under served area of Mathematics. A mixture of Discrete Math can be found sprinkled about Main-Stream Mathematics. My love for sports, games and statistics provide the ground work for my ability to take a complex concept and break it down into bite size topics that lay the foundation for Success. I have taken all Calculus Courses as well as Modern Ring Theory and Non-Euclidean Geometry and hold a Masters of Mathematics from Texas A&M University. Couple that with my being involved in teaching both Gifted and Talented and Honors classes as well as Pre [more]

I took a course in discrete mathematics when I was in my college. I took a special course in graph theory. I worked as a grader in discrete math. I'm a graduate student in Texas A & M university and working towards getting my PhD in mathematics. When I was an undergraduate I took various courses in math so I have a good broad knowledge in all fields. I worked as a TA in differential equations at Texas A & M University. More importantly I had thought mathematics to high school students and college students for seven years. When I was in my high school and college I took part in International [more]

I have a B.S. in mathematics and an M.A. in mathematical statistics. I have taught Discrete mathematics at the community college level. I have tutored this subject on many occasions. Dear student or guardian: I've been teaching or tutoring mathematics and statistics for over 10 years. I have an undergraduate degree in mathematics and a graduate degree in mathematical statistics. I've taught college level courses in math and statistics in 4 different schools in the Chicago and Austin area. I often call teaching a "hobby" - I enjoy it that much. Here's how I can help: I'll sit with [more]

I've had experience with many of the topics in discrete math, like logic, set theory, functions, and combinatorics. Classes in discrete math are often the first time a students gets exposed to proofs - a very important tool in higher level mathematics. I enjoy using basic definitions and axioms to build up to new and interesting theorems. I am a recent engineering graduate who does math and physics tutoring in College Station. The subjects I teach most often are calculus and college physics, but I can help with all levels of math, physics, chemistry, and engineering as well. My students have c [more]
