I have taken and taught a plethora of statistics courses dealing with set theory, combinatorics, probability, counting, statistics, series, sequences, linear algebra and Boolean algebra that deal with discrete sets as opposed to continuous sets. However, many of the analytical tools used in discrete mathematics are use in the continuous counterpart such as calculus, and trigonometry.
