I took discrete Mathematics in my undergraduate at Morehouse College. I passed the class with an A. I am also a high school and college math teacher. I am a highly adaptive teacher, and I take pleasure in learning students? weakness to help improve their overall learning skills. While learning is important, I advise students that success is not only achieved in the classroom but in life as well. My tutoring specialties, at this point, mostly include such math areas as Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus, SAT Math and ACT Math preparation. I work with students ranging from 5 [more]

As part of my Electrical Engineering degree requirements, I have taken Finite Math, Linear Algebra, and Digital Logic. These courses include the study of binary numbers, matrices, Boolean Logic, functions and subsets. I have also taken the accompanying lab associated with Digital Logic. I am experienced enough in this area to tutor Discrete Math. Hi, "My Turning Point Struggle with Math" I am Martin. I am an Electrical Engineer. When I started UNO, my ACT score placed me in remedial math. In my defiance of this placement, I received permission by the Dean to skip remedial math and take [more]

I earned an A in my undergraduate Foundations of Mathematics course (Math 2040 at Louisiana State University: Introduction to techniques of mathematical proofs; sets, logic, relations and functions, induction, cardinality and properties of real numbers.) I also hold a Master's Degree in Mathematics. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn Math. Not everyone has the easiest time learning it in a classroom setting, of course, but I can honestly say I never tutored anyone who didn't understand the material after a little one-on-one explanation. I like to meet a student where they are [more]

I am a current graduate student at Florida Gulf Coast University in Applied Mathematics. I received an A in Discrete Mathematics at FGCU. As an undergraduate, I tutored fellow classmates that were struggling in the subject, helping the class maintain a B average. I tutored two undergraduates last year in Discrete Mathematics successfully. When I tutor Discrete Math, most time is spent sitting beside a white board discussing different ways of imagining what the question is really asking. That's usually the most difficult part. Once a picture is in the students head, we go about sketching proofs [more]
