I am a senior studying engineering at the University of Utah. I have roughly 5 years of experience in upper division mathematics. I have tutored math in the past but stuck primarily to statistics. I am in my senior year at the University of Utah studying Materials Science and Engineering. I am well versed in most mathematics from elementary algebra to partial differential equations. I have an excess of knowledge in both chemistry and physics. I am new to tutoring for charge, but have tutored numerous college students in statistics and other college level math classes for a couple years now.... [more]

Discrete Math was my favorite math course in my entire math degree. I loved how it dealt with the mathematics of integers, the kind of numbers that everyone uses every day. I enjoy teaching this subject. I have tutored this course start to finish several times, with all students passing with grades above their expectations. Of course, some things need to be looked up quickly during a session, but that's true of most upper level math courses. I studied Mathematics at the University of Utah (as well as Business Finance and Russian Linguistics). I offer a unique approach to mathematics that [more]

As an undergraduate, I majored in physics and mathematics with highest honors. As part of the mathematics requirements, we had to take an introductory course in Discrete Mathematics as well as an additional course in Combinatorics. In both of these classes, I received an "A" grade, as I excelled in each of them. Moreover, many of the topics visited in these classes are revisited in higher-level physics and math classes, when statistical physics emerges as a fundamental science and the differential equation solutions have solutions generated by recurrence relations. Thus, I feel that I am w [more]

As a math minor at Westminster College, I have excelled in the subject of discrete mathematics, proving many theorems and equations. Discrete math has been my favorite math class so far and I enjoy showing my work to others. I love what I do. I swim on my own as well as with the U.S.A. swim team. I have just graduated from Westminster with a major in chemistry, and am now working with the National Geographic educational program, Animal Jam. I am a beekeeper, and my principle role at Animal Jam is to present on camera to produce educational videos about animals, primarily bees and other insects [more]
