I studied Combinatoric Graph Theory at the University of Idaho as a part of my undergraduate work. I took two, 3 semester credit courses. The first course was Math 176 Discrete Math 1. The second Course Math 376 Discrete Math 2. When I began my full time assignment at North Idaho College, as an instructor of the Discrete Math as a part of North Idaho Colleges "Contemporary Math 123" class. I taught this Material did for 5 years. Presently with my Wyzant Student EK, I am teaching this same material for the University of Idaho's Math 123. [more]

In addition to taking the Discrete Math course, I also took related courses in Abstract Algebra, Number Theory, Cryptology, and Combinatorics. This provides me additional depth on the range of topics in Discrete Math. As a senior project, I applied my number theory knowledge by researching, determining runtime, and formulating proofs of key principles for a factorization algorithm. As such, I specialize in number theory, but I look forward to helping you with all of the topics in Discrete Math. [more]

I have taken many courses that prepare me to tutor finite mathematics. My BA and MA were both in mathematics and I had a focus on discrete and finite mathematics for both degrees. Discrete mathematics is my passion and I would love to help others appreciate how beautiful it can be too. I love mathematics and showing how useful and beautiful it can be. I have tutored for over 10 years and have taught both high school and college mathematics during the past 5 years. For classes, I would be happy to help you get caught up on any material missed or not fully understood, or even help you get ah [more]

I have taught Discrete Math several times during my time teaching at Brigham Young University Hawaii. My student evaluations were consistently positive. My students were able to show proficiency in the subject during subsequent coursework. I am a licensed math teacher with a BS in Mathematics and a Master's degree in teaching math. I have experience teaching at the university, high school, and middle school levels and am qualified to tutor virtually any math course. I believe in making math fun. I believe in helping my students truly understand key concepts, not just memorize and regurgitate [more]

I have taken quite a few classes in discrete math, including such topics as combinatorics, graph theory, sequences, infinite series, generating functions, Young Tableaux, and discrete calculus. Discrete mathematics is an area of math that I find quite interesting, and I have read multiple textbooks on the subject, including most recently Riordan Arrays: A Primer. I also published a paper in the mathematics journal Parabola in the area of discrete mathematics. Hi! I'm Travis, and I'm currently an undergraduate at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. I plan on majoring in Mathematics with [more]
