My qualifications make me the perfect Elementary Math tutor. First, I have experience teaching Elementary Math overseas in Korea and Taiwan. As an ESL teacher I designed a unique ESL program that included arithmetic. Since I taught all grades, I broke it down into addition and subtraction for first graders, multiplication and division for second and third graders, and a little more complex equations for fourth and fifth graders...all spoken in English. Second, I have also tutored Elementary Math as well. Any more information can be looked up at my Qualifications page. [more]

I have fifteen years experience as an elementary school teacher. Of those fifteen years, ten were in third grade. I am very familiar with common core and trained other teachers in how to teach common core math. As a child, teachers had a positive impact on my life. I decided at a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher and help children the way that my teachers had helped me. To obtain this goal, I enrolled at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Missouri. In 1999, I graduated with a degree in elementary education. Since then, I have worked in an elementary school setting. [more]

I am a current graduate student at Wichita State University, working on obtaining my doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Throughout my educational career, I have sought opportunities to assist others as they were on their own educational paths. One of the things I absolutely adore with tutoring and teaching others is the spark of when someone finally 'gets it'. They've been struggling with whatever the task at hand is, and their hard work pays off - providing an a-ha moment. The smile, the ... [more]

My passion is teaching. I have taught and tutored mostly middle school and high school students. Math found its way to me. Let me explain: I have always had an interest in math, science and reading. However, it never came very easy to me. I realized that I was just as smart as my peers, but the information just came to me in a different way. I taught myself how to study and I would figure out another way to do a math problem so that it made sense to me. I learned that I am a problem ... [more]

I have tutored for several years now from elementary-age to college students. My more formal positions were as a math tutor up to Calculus II at Wichita State and a lunch tutor (in all subjects) at Robinson Middle School. My job as a tutor is to not only teach you what you need to know, but to help you develop the skills to effectively learn and study on your own. At least once in your life (probably a majority of the time in my experience), you'll experience a teacher that has a teaching... [more]

Hello, My name is Tanner. I graduated a year ago from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. I thoroughly enjoy the art of teaching. I am and will be a lifelong learner. I seek for things that I don't know so that I can teach myself something new. This characteristic overflows into my teaching others. I have three younger siblings whom I have had the privilege of helping teach through their academic career. I not only love when the student... [more]

I have 33 years of elementary teaching experience. I have a BS degree in elementary education from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. My first two years of teaching were in a very small Missouri town called Metz. I became very resourceful during this period because this school had very little in the way of money or supplies. I then began teaching in my hometown of Haysville, Kansas, where I taught for 31 years until my retirement. I have a very long history of wor... [more]
