I programmed in ForTran in College. It's my most basic computer language. ForTran is a programming language no longer commonly used, but it is the basis of many computer languages. I have used it on a very limited basis, but I believe if you learn Fortran and program it successfully you can program in many of the other programming languages. Fortran has many more restrictions in its basic program than any other programming language I know. It has helped me to proofread coding programs from Visual Basic, HTML, SQL, Python, JavaScript, etc. Although not used, it is a great language to teach and [more]

I consider myself to be a highly skilled FORTRAN programmer who is extensively experienced in scientific computing related to two- and three-dimensional structural mechanics, fluid dynamics, and granular flow problems. (I have in-depth knowledge of various computational methods including the finite element, finite difference, and differential quadrature methods, and general methods of numerical analysis.) I learned FORTRAN programming in 1972 for the computational work of my MS thesis (FORTRAN was the most prevalent programing language at that time). I have experienced writing codes in all t [more]

As a college undergraduate, I took a semester of Fortran 95, and then taught the class until I graduated. I created lessons, delivered lectures, graded work, held office hours, and scheduled appointments to work with students one-on-one. My name is Chuck. I'm 31 years old, I have a B.S. in computer science and a minor in math from North Carolina State University. I'm a former college instructor, I've worked in software for eight years, and I am looking to go back to school to get a teaching certificate. I've also recently been a contestant on Jeopardy! Back when I was a college student, I pla [more]

Fortran is one of the oldest and still widely used computer programming language used in scientific computing. I learned and used FORTRAN programming language in my MSC study in Physics for numerically solving atomic and molecular calculations. I also used FORTRAN for dealing with matrices to solve for eigenvalues, to find inverse of a matrix, etc... I also use FORTRAN in my PhD study. I have about 10 years of teaching experience in vocational school and college. I graduated with MSc in Physics in May 2011 and am now enrolled for a PhD program in Computational Science program in George Mason. [more]

I have been working in the financial industry for 15 years and my primary programming language is Fortran. I've been working with WordPress since 2004. I've created plugins and themes and have helped answer user questions in the WP support forum. I've also taught classes on the various Microsoft Office applications in several local community adult classes. I've helped build websites for The Special Olympics of Delaware County, Patch Adams Free Clinic in Philadelphia, Pacem in Terris, Haverford Music Festival, Music for Life, Timebank Media and New Avenue Foundation. I help manage The Arc of [more]

I have extensive experience in programming C, Fortran, Cobol, Assembler. I also I am familiar with the following operating systems: Microsoft operating systems such as 3.1, NT, ME, 95, 98, XP, Vista 7, Unix, Linux, Sun Operating systems. I have done work using HTML, DHTML, SQL, Javascript, Visual Basic, VBScript, ASP, Dreamweaver, Front Page, Photoshop and Fireworks. I have experience in computer technology and the education field. I have taught Algebra and Geometry in schools in Prince Georges Co. Maryland. I have several years of experience in the education field in Montgomery Co., Washingt [more]

I've learned Fortran77 in 1997 when I started college. I used it to program engineering codes for my senior project. Then during MS I used a computational fluid dynamics code written in Fortran and learned about high performance Fortran. I also wrote my own PhD thesis code in Fortran 90. I've taught Statics, C++ and Fortran, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer at various universities. Can help in computer modeling, programming, general engineering courses, math and physics. I am also a Professional Engineer. I've done tutoring when I was a graduate student myself and understand that the class tim [more]

I have worked extensively with FORTRAN codes in my career. I have designed and coded electromagnetics applications software in FORTRAN. I have written numerous stand-alone FORTRAN utilities, and FORTRAN components of large multi-language codes. I have a PhD in particle physics from the University of Maryland at College Park and many years' experience in industry. I have taught recitation sections in physics at UMCP and college algebra at University of Maryland University College. I won an Outstanding Teaching award at UMCP. I have also provided a lot of assistance to my 13 year-old son in [more]

I have undergraduate degrees in both Mathematics and Computer Science. For the last 14 years, I have been teaching Computer Science and my title is Associate Professor of Computer Science. Prior to teaching, I worked in the DoD arena and the commercial world developing Computer Systems. During my DoD work, I programmed in many different flavors of Fortran. I am an Associate Professor of Computer Science at UWMC in Wausau, WI. I have undergraduate degrees in CS and Math from UWEC, and have taken courses in Business Administration from the University of Maryland. I have an Masters in Informa [more]

I have over fifty years of programming experience in Fortran, Fortran 77 and Fortran 90. I learned Fortran as an undergraduate at MIT, and have used it there, as a graduate student at Cornell University, and as a scientist and Senior Programer at MIT, at New York University, at the NASA/Goddard Institute for Space Studies, and at the NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center. I have over 1450 hours tutoring experience with over 90 students, including many in various levels of Fortran and in other areas of Computer Science. [more]
