I successfully taught GED Prep courses for Alameda, Oakland and San Lorenzo (Adult) School Districts for 7+ years. I am a native Californian, born in Los Angeles. My family moved to San Francisco where I received my K - 12 education. I received a more formal and self-directed education at Cal State, East Bay, Hayward (CSUH) and San Francisco Law School (SFLS), earning a B.S and M.P.A. at CSUH and J.D at SFLS. I'm a late bloomer in terms of pursuing my educational goals, as I did not even start college until I was an adult with children. This is good, in a way, because it demonstrates/sets [more]

A key to succeeding in GED testing is reading. In many cases, the information needed for a test is given in the reading passage. Together, we can look at the material and how it is presented. Those areas include English language arts, mathematics, social science, and science. For some the thought of taking a high stakes test can be unnerving, especially if you have been out of school for some time.
