Math and Reading Support for Students with ADD/ADHD and Dyslexia

I do a pretest with a new student and then review the concepts that were missed on the pretest. For some students it is also about learning some test-taking strategies and how to solve problems more quickly. I also assign homework so that students who are taking the prescribed classes at the community college will be able to use that time more productively. [more]

Friendly and Effective Spanish, English, ESL or Math Tutor

I am very knowledgeable in various subjects, and am well equipped to help you realize your goal of receiving your GED. Working together, I believe I can help you to not only learn the information, but to retain it. A high school education is incredibly important, as not having a diploma or GED can prohibit you from getting good jobs, taking higher education classes or qualifying for programs you may be interested in. I can help you get over this hurdle with teamwork. While I may not know the answer to any particular subject immediately, I can certainly help you find the answers, and make sense [more]

College Professor

I have been a student (I have 4 degrees in mechanical engineering, 3 of them advanced.) and a teacher (I have been full time faculty, visiting professor, adjoint and online faculty.) for a very long time. My teaching style and philosophy have developed and matured based on these experiences. When I teach, I try to emulate my best teachers, and I also share with my students the ways in which I understood and sometimes discovered concepts. I believe that understanding the fundamental princ... [more]
