Geometry is often misunderstood by students because of the concepts that are being taught, that differ from algebra. With some help, I have seen many start to enjoy geometry and see the importance of doing well in this important subject. The school year is at a point where good grades are more critical . And it is more obvious that your student or you need help. Rather than procrastinate any longer and get into difficulty with a subject, why not consider a tutor to help smooth out these anxious moments and begin on a path to grade improvement. It is preferable to deal with these issues bef [more]

Geometry introduces geometric reasoning (the study of shapes) as a method for problem solving. If the student wants to cover specific subjects, I will work on those subjects. I always go through algebra basics in a short review because these basics are still used in geometry. If the student is "home schooled", I teach geometry in 10 two hour lessons. I physically (through pen and paper, as well as online) show the properties of geometric figures such as triangles, quadrilaterals, and other polygons. I show and help the student practice using mathematical language to express important g [more]

I fell in love with teaching at a young age. It started in high school when I began tutoring my peers for gas money. Quickly I realized that this wasn't just something I was doing for money, it was my passion. My client base exploded and after school I would travel to my client's houses until 8-9 pm. This led me to begin teaching after college. I have over 5 years of experience in the classroom, teaching everything from middle school math, to honors trigonometry. There is nothing that exci...
