I taught developmental math and college math at area college and universities. I served as math lab coordinator at Austin Peay State University for two years. I have worked as a test prep coach since 1997, prepare students for 17 different standardized exams. All these exams have a math section, so I tutor math, including geometry, on a regular basis. There truly is a way to understand and learn the formulas for area and volume. I'm great at explaining the basic concepts of geometry in multiple ways, so students can fully grasp the concepts. My belief system when tutoring students is to ensure that I give each person the time to utilize their cognitive ability to develop solutions. Coupled with activating prior knowledge, building upon their foundational skill set as well as developing their confidence level with the material allows me to have a high success rate with my stude...
