Hi, my name is Logan! I'm working on my bachelor's degree in mathematics while doing research at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. I fell in love with mathematics about six years ago and at that point I started tutoring adults at Pikes Peak Community College where I became a CRLA level 2 certified tutor and learned how to communicate ideas in many different ways. During this time, I tutored every level of mathematics from basic arithmetic to differential equations. After this, ... [more]

I love learning. As a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, I know that opportunity and success looks an awful lot like hard work paying off. As the founding tutor for the Biology Lab and tutoring program and serving several semesters in the Nursing Program's student learning lab at Mesa State College (now Colorado Mesa University), I have had the extreme pleasure of helping thousands of students achieve their scholastic goals, realize their own potential, and take great joy in seeing t... Geometry was the class in high school that made me realize that I wanted to be a mathematician. This is my favorite class to teach in high school (followed closely by algebra II and calculus). I have a firm grasp on the theorems, postulates and how to use them to write two-column proofs. I am also well versed in integrating algebra concepts into the realm of geometry. I have a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Weber State University and a Masters of Science in Mathematical Scienceso from the University of West Florida. I have 15 years of teaching experience combined at the un [more]

The reason I love to tutor students is because I have had phenomenal experiences with my tutors in the past. I know the feeling of having a topic be crystal clear after working with a challenging, motivational tutor. I have been tutoring science topics for five years, and have experience with students ranging from ages 14-45. Topics such as biology, anatomy, or genetics can be very dense at first, and I understand the value of being able to explain concepts in multiple ways from different ang... [more]

I am a high school math teacher with a Master's degree and 13 years teaching experience. While most of my teaching experience is in Algebra I and Algebra II, I have also taught Geometry at the high school level for the past 4 years. I have also been heavily involved in developing the curriculum maps that are currently being taught in my school district for Geometry. I am a current certified high school math teacher with 13 years of teaching experience. I am also an adjunct professor at a local community college. I have a BS in Mathematics with a Secondary Education Emphasis from the Unive [more]

I have been a professional tutor for longer than I have been alive! I started tutoring when I was 11 and haven't stopped since. Since I started, I've worked for libraries, schools, learning centers and private families. Most recently I tutored for a program called Northern Colorado Upward Bound, where we worked exclusively with first generation, immigrant or low income students. I've also tutored many students with learning or physical disabilities, so I can help whomever however they nee... [more]

I am a chiropractor currently in practice, who loves teaching and helping others learn. I have tutored friends and classmates all through my schooling with great success. For example, when going through chiropractic school, I had a friend and English was not his first language that was struggling to pass a Biochemistry class. Through tutoring and teaching him the various biochemical pathways and ways to help memorize the information, he was able to pass the class. I worked hard through school... [more]

I was advanced in math throughout school mostly by learning the simple tricks and having a good grasp on basic math. Geometry is mostly about using these basic math skills in formulas and interpreting angles. If you work on knowing the formulas and remember things about degrees (for example 180 in a triangle, 360 in a rectangle), then understanding geometry is a lot easier. I will be happy to help in this area. Hi, I am a professionally licensed Colorado secondary social studies teacher since 2001. Before that, I tutored college students while I was in college myself.
