I have been tutoring math for more than 10 years. I have encountered different kinds of students either at high school or at college especially students of Calc 1&2. Electronics engineering is my major. This means a lot of advanced mathematics and physics. This quest can be accomplished with only an excellent foundation in the basics of math like algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.... [more]

Ever need someone to just sit with you and help reason out problems with assignments and/or writer's block? Good! This is what I like to do best. Having three years' experience as a collegiate lab assistant for music, writing, and the physical and biological sciences, I am well enabled across various subjects to assist students' studying needs. I love to read and write creatively in my spare time. Though I am relatively new to the WyzAnt community, I have been known to offer tutoring sessio... [more]

Most of a student's difficulty comes from writing proofs. Think of it as writing an argumentative paper, and having to cite your sources. With the 'Given' typically as your introduction, make your argument with any supporting definitions, postulates, and/or theorems available to you at that time, and end it with what you want to 'prove' as your conclusion. Your particular geometry text book is your source for citing, unless other material is given by your instructor. You can only cite references covered to date. No peeking ahead. Beyond proof writing, while it may be other geometric co [more]

I will make Geometry so easy for you, that you will begin to LOVE it. For me, Geometry is very easy since you can represent most of the problems in pictures, before solving them. This affords you multiple representations of the same situation. Most times, if you can represent a situation in more than one way, you will definitely understand it better. So try me. A trial of my techniques will convince you that I know what I am talking about. Mind you, I am not trying to sing my own eulogy to submission. This is just one confident dude! [more]

Completed advanced math classes through college calculus. My entire life I have known I was going to be a teacher. I idolized my father who taught high school math and used to help him grade his student's homework and tests while I was in advanced classes in grade school. In all areas of life I find myself being the one to explain a process or solution to the group in a way that is simple and clear. My communication skills and patience are two of my assets that make me a great tutor. I have helped numerous friends study for, and pass, tests for whic... [more]
