I am certified to teach math K-12. Geometry is unlike any other math subject that students will encounter in their lives. Also, this is the subject where students first encounter formal proofs. I work with students to learn logic needed for proofs, and to create proofs on their own. I also emphasize the importance of drawing and marking correctly on the pictures so that it is easier to solve problems. I believe that every student is capable of learning. My goal is to allow them to reach their maximum potential by getting them interested in the subject, making them think, and teaching them in t [more]

Hi there! I received a 100 in my Geometry class when I took it in high school and scored a 100 on my NY State Regents. I have been tutoring Geometry ever since and have noticed that my students have an easier time in Trigonometry and Calculus because I focus on topics that will appear in future math courses as well. Hey there! My name is Sean and I am a Computer Scientist from Rutgers University. I was always proficient in the mathematics and science disciplines growing up and started tutoring in my high school years! I tutor Algebra, Algebra II, Linear Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Cal [more]

I am a former NYC high school Geometry teacher and I was considered "extremely hard" for teaching proofs to my students. But my students were the only ones doing geometric proofs in the NY Reagents in the whole school. I have also designed summer program for students who want to get a head-start in Geometry. I even wrote a mini-Geometry book for this purpose. I can cover most major topics in Geometry in little as one month (it all depends on how motivated your child is) but most will take six-weeks (5 days a week). [more]

I have tutored mathematics throughout my teaching career. I teach observation, precision of knowledge, reasoning, proofs, and problem solving. I have digital smart flash cards that I've created to help with knowledge of terms and steps of logic. Hi, I'm Edward, I'm a certified teacher of English with extensive experience tutoring math through geometry, and into the fundamentals of trigonometry and calculus. I'm the content designer for two SAT preparation for the 2400 series of the test formerly available on iTunes, using a smart flash card platform that innovated a math system designed spec [more]

I have helped numerous SAT/ACT students, (All my students dramatically improved performance: SAT scores from less than 600 to 800 or close to 800. ACT from less than 20 to more than 30) I taught general chemistry and organic chemistry in Rutgers for three years. I also teach Math (algebra, geometry, trigonometry). My knowledge and teaching style have helped many students enhanced their academic performance. As a NJ certified teacher, I will help you succeed in math and chemistry tests thro... [more]
