I hold a bachelor's degree in chemistry with a concentration in biochemistry. In obtaining this degree I studied mathematics for several years and have taken multiple calculus courses. I have tutored mathematics for 5+ years with great success and love working on geometry, as it brings a tangible aspect to math. I am currently a medical student at a local college of medicine. I graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry in 2016. I have tutored chemistry, mathematics, and biology for over 5 years. In addition to [more]

Geometry is a foundational math class. It is when students start having to actually prove different properties of triangles and other shapes, rather than just solving an equation. Sometimes this can be overwhelming, but I have successfully helped dozens of students to make this transition. Hi! My name is Hadi. I'm a graduate student at Sacramento State. I received my bachelor's degree in math from Chico State. I plan on teaching math at a community college after I complete my master's. I have 5 years of tutoring experience working with middle school, high school and college students, as well a [more]

In 10 grade I took geometry and this was very different from Algebra and I liked it even more. Geometry was the class that I decided I wanted to become an engineer from a picture I saw of an engineer designing an airport, and eventually I did become a mechanical engineer and worked as an aerospace engineer, a manufacturing engineer and as a mechanical engineering consultant/designer. In the eleventh grade I took algebra II and in the 12 grade I started Pre-Calculus to get ready for college. In my first year of college I took Trigonometry the first semester and Calculus I the second semest [more]

Geometry is the study of angles and shapes and is useful to many trades including carpentry and design. I will try to make geometry easier to remember by the student by breaking its concepts down into components instead of many formulas and definitions. I believe that geometry needs to be drawn to be understood and memorable. I have tutored for three years in math and chemistry. In math I have tutored from 1st grade through Precalculus including Algebra 1 & 2, and Geometry. In chemistry, I have tutored students in all types of curriculum including regular, AP, IB, and CP high school courses [more]

I've got some loose time now and again, so I figured I'd try my hand at online tutoring. I'm a recent graduate of Sac State with a BS in Electrical Engineering and I spent a lot of time in college tutoring a variety of maths and a couple engineering courses. I do really well with all types of offbeat people. I liked tutoring so much that I very nearly started substitute teaching, but a company offered me way more money. I feel that I'm pretty good at identifying where problems lie and expl... [more]
