I am a certified Math and engineering tutor from Colorado State University. I have my bachelors degree in Mathematics, and I have a masters degree in Engineering. I have an excellent experience in tutoring and teaching math. The way I do it, I lead you to solve the math problem by yourself rather that giving you the answer directly, math is more fun this way. And by time you will find math easier and more fun than any other subject. I can tutor any math subject: pre-algebra, algebra, geome... [more]

In 10 grade I took geometry and this was very different from Algebra and I liked it even more. Geometry was the class that I decided I wanted to become an engineer from a picture I saw of an engineer designing an airport, and eventually I did become a mechanical engineer and worked as an aerospace engineer, a manufacturing engineer and as a mechanical engineering consultant/designer. In the eleventh grade I took algebra II and in the 12 grade I started Pre-Calculus to get ready for college. In my first year of college I took Trigonometry the first semester and Calculus I the second semest [more]

I have a B.S. in Mathematics, and experience tutoring students in the applications of geometry to higher level math subjects. I have been tutoring math for over five years, most recently as a tutor for Cal Poly's math department. My favorite part of any tutoring session is the buildup to the "Aha!" moment. I believe that building up to that moment is the most important, as it represents the learning process. If a student excels in that buildup process, that student excels in learning anything. About me: In 1st grade, I found a curiosity for math and took it all the way to my graduation from C [more]

4 years' experience tutoring math in Napa, CA From the four years of experience I have as a tutor in the Napa Valley and a lifetime as a student, I understand that, in many cases, the connection between a teacher and a student is not always enough for a student to learn. In classrooms, and most often in math and science courses, material tends to be presented in wording and format that, while it might make logical sense, cannot be understood by a student to the point of mastery. My intention is to bridge the gap between teacher and stude... [more]

I've got some loose time now and again, so I figured I'd try my hand at online tutoring. I'm a recent graduate of Sac State with a BS in Electrical Engineering and I spent a lot of time in college tutoring a variety of maths and a couple engineering courses. I do really well with all types of offbeat people. I liked tutoring so much that I very nearly started substitute teaching, but a company offered me way more money. I feel that I'm pretty good at identifying where problems lie and expl... [more]
