Hello, I am interested in opportunities to provide tutoring services to high school students, with a focus on Calculus, Algebra, and Geometry. I am also available to tutor science classes: Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Students taking my lessons will learn the material for their course and study strategies that will help them in future classes. My approach is to teach the student how to identify the nature of the problem and to recognize the appropriate way to solve it. We work through t... [more]

I took Geometry my freshman year of high school and was placed among the most advanced students in the class and given extra, more difficult problems on both homework assignments and tests as well as the freedom to mostly teach myself the subject. I received an A in that class as well as the math classes I took the two following years. My memory and natural skill with math is what allows me to have the necessary expertise to teach it. Also adding to my ability to teach is the fact that I essentially taught myself math all the way from late elementary school through 9th grade. [more]

I have always had in interest in math and science and found out in college that I liked tutoring also. While I was earning my Physics degree at CWU I was tutoring students in physics and found that I liked seeing the light bulb go on when a student understands the subject they're studying. While earning my Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering degree at UW I often tutored people in math. After graduating college in 2007 I went to work at Boeing as an engineer and worked there for abou... [more]

My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. I excel in math because I love math and have a systematic approach to study math. I have a BA in Finance from University of Washington. In college, when I tutored math and accounting to my fellow students, I always had a good feeling of being helpful. My approach to tutoring is tailored to each individual student.
