Geometry was mastered by early Greeks and Egyptians centuries ago, but is still problematic for today's students. With an underlying foundation of algebra, geometry then expands to concepts, postulates, theorems, and relationships involving lines, plane or solid shapes, etc. I have taught geometry to middle grades and high school students, including honors geometry. I enjoy eliciting from students the thinking involved in solving geometric problems, and can provide insight into relationships between topics or multiple strategies for solving them. [more]

Although proofs are not my favorite things in the world, I really do enjoy geometry. I tutored geometry for several semesters in high school and I would love to get back into it! The things a student learns in geometry are extremely important for their future success in precalculus and trigonometry, as well as on the SAT and ACT, so it's imperative that they lay down a solid foundation now, and I would love to help!
