Geometry was mastered by early Greeks and Egyptians centuries ago, but is still problematic for today's students. With an underlying foundation of algebra, geometry then expands to concepts, postulates, theorems, and relationships involving lines, plane or solid shapes, etc. I have taught geometry to middle grades and high school students, including honors geometry. I enjoy eliciting from students the thinking involved in solving geometric problems, and can provide insight into relationships between topics or multiple strategies for solving them. [more]

My first official teaching position was as a Teacher's Assistant at Kalamazoo College in General Chemistry my senior year at Kalamazoo College.
