Geometry is an important subject to learn because it teaches the student how to logically solve a problem using a given set of information to prove that other properties are true about a given shape. The analytical skills that are developed in this course are important for any line of work that the student will pursue in the future. My geometry tutoring focuses teaching these analytical skills with an emphasis on how they can be used in a wide range of fields including engineering and computer science. [more]

I have taught and tutored geometry throughout its junior high, high school and college phases. The surest way to understanding and a good grade is through building a foundation of the geometrical universe of mathematics identities and definitions. Lots of relevant examples and good foundations lead to building greater understanding. Don't let a math class keep you from achieving your goals--let me help! I am a grad student in Mathematics, currently taking a break from classes. I also have a B.S. in Secondary Math Education. Although I am very skilled at many different types of math, more impo [more]

Although a student may have excelled at algebra, geometry can often be challenging if they're not an extremely visual learner or processor. In my work with geometry students, I encourage them to look at diagrams, proofs, etc. in at least a couple of ways, finding alternative strategies whenever possible so that their "toolbox" will be more extensive for future problems. The school year's here! Feel free to contact me to discuss how I can help your student achieve his/her academic goals. I am excited about working with students of all levels and abilities to help them become more proficient wit [more]

I am a theoretical physicist and I have loved all my life the study of the universe and its secrets through research and continued education. Mathematics and Science have offered modern humans unprecedented awareness. Strong ethical individuals, supported by coherent education and fulfilling work, can sustain peace, produce tangible progress in quality of life and help improve our cultural values. In my opinion an effort to improve this education and our willingness to cooperate and share kno... [more]

I have a PhD in Mathematics from Colorado State University in 2013. I have 5+ years experience teaching and tutoring undergraduate level math courses. I am available to tutor in a variety of math courses for grades 6 and up and also college level courses including algebra, calculus, discrete math, math for social sciences, probability and statistics. I can also help with SAT test preparation for math levels 1 and 2. I am passionate about teaching and have a never-give-up attitude. My experie... [more]

Geometry is the mathematics of the properties, measurement, and relationships of points, lines, angles, surfaces, and solids. Geometry focuses on the study of geometric progression an shape, angular and linear velocity, parallelogram rule, Pythagorean theorem, similar triangles, trigonometric identity, unit circle, trapezoid, point, ray, plane, line and line segment, vector spaces and complex dimensions. I tutored high school and college students in the concepts and concept use for various topics of geometry. [more]

I routinely help students catching up on what they forget in geometry while tutoring them on higher-level mathematics. I just got 100% on my geometry test without any preparation. I am an experienced tutor from the most prestigious tutoring companies in the Bay Area, and I taught physics for years in universities. My tutoring focuses on physics, high-level math such as calculus, and test prep. Most of my students are high school juniors, seniors, and university students (mostly from Stanford). My regular students saw one to three grade points improvements; my AP test prep students saw one to t [more]

I have majored in math for education and geometry, while not my favorite subject, is something that I understand. Because I did somewhat struggle with geometry in school, this makes me an even better tutor. I understand what problems students have with geometry and can help them understand it even better. I am an experienced math tutor and I am close to acquiring my teaching credential in math. I love working with students and experiencing the ah-ha moment of discovery. My experience in teaching is mostly at the middle school level, but I have tutored students from Kindergarten to 12th grade. [more]

I was born and raised in the Bay Area in California and attended college at the University of California Davis. I majored in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology. I took engineering series calculus in college just for fun. Math makes sense and flows in my head. Even though I am not as formally trained in my education in English and Writing, I can proof read and edit very well, as most of my jobs have required me to write quite a bit, including being a Contributing Writer for an online ne... I am a Naperville North High School and University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign graduate with a degree in Mathematics. I have extensive problem-solving experience including winning 1st place at the 2007 ICTM State Math Contest, qualifying for the USA Math Olympiad, and placing in the top 500 in the national Putnam competition. My tutoring methods vary student-by-student, but I specialize in breaking down problems and asking questions to guide the student toward discovering and truly underst... [more]
