Geometry is an important subject to learn because it teaches the student how to logically solve a problem using a given set of information to prove that other properties are true about a given shape. The analytical skills that are developed in this course are important for any line of work that the student will pursue in the future. My geometry tutoring focuses teaching these analytical skills with an emphasis on how they can be used in a wide range of fields including engineering and computer science. [more]

I have 5 years of experience teaching Geometry to several students of various schools including Harker School, San Jose Mission Schools. Proofs are the major challenges in Geometry. To overcome this challenge, I focus on "writing one proof daily" by the students. This helps a lot in getting mastery in proofs. I am a result-oriented Math Tutor. I have 7+ years of tutoring experience. I can help you or your child to excel in math and overcome any problem areas. I specialize in all areas of Math: Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, etc. I also can help you or yo [more]

Although a student may have excelled at algebra, geometry can often be challenging if they're not an extremely visual learner or processor. In my work with geometry students, I encourage them to look at diagrams, proofs, etc. in at least a couple of ways, finding alternative strategies whenever possible so that their "toolbox" will be more extensive for future problems. Time for summer scheduling! Whether your student would like to preview the coming year's material, prep for a placement test, get help with a summer course, fill some gaps, or just have fun with some enrichment activities, I'd [more]

I have had a variety of different tutoring and teaching experiences over the years. In high school, I tutored my friends in math. In college, I started as an engineering student, in clubs that taught SAT workshops as well as just mentoring middle school and high school students, encouraging them to take interest in math, science, and engineering fields. I also tutored fellow engineering students in our math classes. When I switched my major to mathematics, I became part of a teaching fellows... [more]

I completed Geometry Honors during my freshman year of high school. During junior and senior year, I tutored underclassmen in math, including Geometry. This tutoring included help with homework as well as exam prep. In recent years working with Geometry students, I have emphasized application of formulas through practice problems as a natural way of committing those formulas to memory. I also have refined a strategy for approaching proofs in a systematic and concise manner, thus relieving students of the anxiety associated with this topic. [more]

I was born and raised in the Bay Area in California and attended college at the University of California Davis. I majored in Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology. I took engineering series calculus in college just for fun. Math makes sense and flows in my head. Even though I am not as formally trained in my education in English and Writing, I can proof read and edit very well, as most of my jobs have required me to write quite a bit, including being a Contributing Writer for an online ne... Geometry is really fun to learn and I like it as a tutor. A good grounding in geometry is very useful in everyday life. It is a stepping stone to taking higher level math classes like calculus. It is also a high school graduation requirement in California schools so it is important to pass this class. I took geometry in high school and have been using it ever since. I have successfully tutored geometry for the last six years. I am very passionate about tutoring and my students. If you are struggling to make it through a geometry class, then I have the tools and experience to help you. Ge [more]
