I have tutored ten students this past year in High School Geometry with great success. Hello. My name is Tom S., and I would like to help you with your math course or college entrance exams. I have had the privilege of tutoring over 85 students this past four years (with much success) in Pre-Calculus, Algebra 1 and Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Algebra and SAT/ACT Math. My students typically improve two grade levels, and feel much more confident! My goal for my SAT students is to help them reach their potential, with a goal of improving 100 points on the math portion of the test. ... [more]

Geometry used to be one of my most dreaded subjects when I was in high school. Through lots of use in Physics and Calculus, I was able to get better at charting the course to a solution for Geometry problems, and I now teach it regularly as one of my tutoring subjects. I help students develop strategies to decide how a problem should be approached, and by making sure to use a lot of colors in my drawings, I take the confusion out of geometry. ||Introduction|| Hello! I'm Ibrahim (you can just call me 'Al'), a Math & Science tutor. I'm a student at IUPUI, majoring in Computer Science. I've alre [more]

I trained as a math tutor through the Butler University Learning Resource Center, and have gone on to tutor Geometry as an independent course and as a topic embedded in science courses such as physics and chemistry. My love for problem solving and mathematics enables me to help share geometry as one of the fundamental tools used for describing the physical world. In particular, I work with the student on understanding geometric proofs as an introduction to formalized logic. Together, the student and I will work to address any learning gaps in mathematical theory and practice, while placing [more]

As a practicing engineer and a former high school teacher, I love geometry and own several resources that can help students learn the concepts. I have passed Wyzant's assessment to qualify as a geometry tutor. If I were to describe my career choices in one phrase it would be that I have always had one foot in the ENGINEERING world and one foot in the EDUCATION world with MATH and PROBLEM SOLVING being the common thread. When I graduated high school in 1993 I went to Purdue to pursue an engineering degree. I graduated in 1997 with a BS in Construction Engineering and Management and passed my [more]
