Hello, My name is Vincent and I have been working very hard over the last five years through Wyzant to help students of all ages and backgrounds increase their grades and subject IQ's and in general feel better about their capability to learn Math and Science. I accomplish this with a unique blend of reliability, professionalism, knowledge, personality and most importantly patience. Even though I have received a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and... [more]

Most of a student's difficulty comes from writing proofs. Think of it as writing an argumentative paper, and having to cite your sources. With the 'Given' typically as your introduction, make your argument with any supporting definitions, postulates, and/or theorems available to you at that time, and end it with what you want to 'prove' as your conclusion. Your particular geometry text book is your source for citing, unless other material is given by your instructor. You can only cite references covered to date. No peeking ahead. Beyond proof writing, while it may be other geometric co [more]

I have tutored many students in geometry. My minor in college and graduate school was mathematics. I worked in industry as an engineer for over 30 years and my work required me to have a thorough understanding of geometry. "Our Goal Is Grade A" I am passionate about math, physics, and chemistry and I am easy to understand. I try to make students very comfortable with me because I understand that their level of learning, comprehension, and confidence increases in a comfortable setting. My objective is to help students improve their test scores which results in better grades. I work with s [more]

I'm a young educator with a wide variety of career experiences, looking to work with students on a more one-on-one basis. I taught math for several years at a high school in Michigan, but felt that class sizes made it difficult to develop close working relationships with students. I work as an Arabic translator and ESL tutor now, but want to keep working with math part-time as well, so I substitute teach at local high schools once or twice a week. As a former high school math teacher, self-t... [more]

I managed to score an average of 98% marks throughout my 18 years of academic life. I'm proud to mention that I'm one of the top 1% math champions. The best thing... [more]

Hello! I'm a recent graduate from the University of Michigan with a bachelors degree in economics and a minor in mathematics. I know both mathematics and economics can be difficult subjects and I want to help students become stronger in them and do well in their classes. I currently work part time as a math/econ tutor at the student connection where I assist students with homework, preparing for exams, and learning math fundamentals. I have experience working with students in algebra I and... [more]

I will make Geometry so easy for you, that you will begin to LOVE it. For me, Geometry is very easy since you can represent most of the problems in pictures, before solving them. This affords you multiple representations of the same situation. Most times, if you can represent a situation in more than one way, you will definitely understand it better. So try me. A trial of my techniques will convince you that I know what I am talking about. Mind you, I am not trying to sing my own eulogy to submission. This is just one confident dude! [more]
