I received an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Maryland. Ever since, I have been involved with training or tutoring in diverse fields to include: Math, Physics, and Electrical Engineering. I have a Masters of Science in Information Security Systems Management from Colorado Technical University. Everywhere I have lived, both in the service or as a civilian, I've had the opportunity to tutor in the areas of Precalculus to include, but not limited to, Algebra, Trigonometry, and Geometry. I 'm very enthusiastic about teaching these subjects! [more]

I like math, and I enjoy helping others understand mathematical concepts and methodologies. I really enjoy that moment when "the light bulb goes on" and a student "gets it". Explaining the underlying concepts and relating them to something the student can understand really helps. I believe the goal of mathematics is understanding not merely finding a solution to a particular problem or following some recipe of memorized equations and steps. I have tutored math through Faulkner State and Pen... [more]

Please call me Miss Peggy--it is much friendlier than Margaret. I absolutely LOVE to teach! It is a joy to help students of all ages, even adults! We manage to have a little fun with it as you learn. Math and English are my specialties! I break them down to the basic "nuts and bolts," so you actually understand HOW and WHY they work. How can I help you succeed? Elementary, middle school and high school math, reading, English, social studies, science? Help with ADD/ADHD? Preparing for t... [more]

I grew up with two little sisters and two little cousins. From the time that I was about seven I remember playing school with my siblings and pretending that I was the teacher. I learned at a very young age that I loved the look on someone's face when the lightbulb goes on and they finally understand a concept. Since then I have been able to observe this gratification in a variety of instances. I began by teaching swim lessons for eight years while simultaneously tutoring at at all levels o... [more]

I am an Alabama certified math teacher that loves to work one-on-one with students. You can be successful with the right guidance and I would love to help you. I want you to understand what you are doing and not just memorize problems. I want to help you build a solid base so you can move forward on your own. You don't have to say "I'm not good in math". Let's practice to get you on your way. I have taught at public and private schools and the classroom does not fit... [more]

I live in Mobile, Alabama, where I've most recently been an adjunct professor at both the University of South Alabama and the University of Mobile. I am an avid reader, an active writer, and a math enthusiast. I scored a perfect 800 on the Quantitative section of the GRE, and took many mathemati... [more]

My name is Hunter. I have recently graduated from the University of Mobile with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. I plan on getting a Master's Degree soon to extend my mathematical knowledge. The one thing you need to know about me is that I love mathematics. Seriously. I'm a geek. I once did a project in integral calculus to find the volume of a Coke bottle. Looking at the label was too easy. I really enjoy doing side projects that allow me to use the knowledge that I've learned. I h... [more]
