Since I was a small child I have always had a love of learning. This passion has driven me to earn a B.S. in Biology and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Duluth. Math, science, and many other subjects have always been an interest of mine (even outside of school). These subjects frequently need considerable help to learn effectively, and my understanding of this fact sets me apart from most. Due to high grades, I have not only made the Dean's List but also tutor... [more]

Geometry is a subject I've been tutoring more often recently and it's an incredibly rewarding course. Because it covers such a broad spectrum of math topics that don't really fit into Algebra, I find it very rewarding to be able to help students master the subjects and learn new ways of thinking and how to deal with the real-world applications of the math they study I attended Oklahoma Christian University to study Mechanical Engineering in 2007. In 2009, I began tutoring in an on-campus tutoring office and fell in love with tutoring. I graduated in December of 2011, but decided to continue p [more]

I have taken many math classes in high school and college including geometry and earned As in all of them. I majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry, Philosophy and Psychology. I love tutoring because it allows me to see others enjoy the successes they have earned. As a tutor, I do not have to grade learners on their abilities, but I do get to encourage them! I feel that this tackles the barriers that often exist between teachers and students, so that the tutor (That's me!) can develop close relationships with their learners. Students then trust me, as their tutor, to critique their work, and help them make deeper improvements. An additional benefit of tutoring is t... [more]
