I started tutoring in high school when my cousin, who is like a brother to me, was struggling to pass Algebra II and, thus, was at risk of not graduating. In college I began volunteering with students in inner city schools in Los Angeles. This was a great challenge because the students do not get a great amount of attention from instructors, which was not the case with my previous students. Furthermore, although the students spoke English well, I often had to discuss their aptitude, streng... [more]

I have taught large groups for several years, but being able to work one on one with my students is a unique, personalized experience that makes learning much more comfortable. I love seeing my students grow and feel confident in areas they previously struggled in. I have been teaching for over 5 years. From 2013 -2014 I worked as as a graphics teachin... [more]

I began tutoring in Santa Fe through Sylvan Learning Center, continued in Rome as a free agent (so to speak), and was eventually trained in Massachusetts by The Princeton Review. I have been tutoring now for almost twenty years (yikes!). I am a personable tutor who really enjoys working with students and getting to know them. I'm good at what I do partly because I can see the big picture while spotting typos a mile away; partly because I pick up various subject matter quickly if I'm not alrea... [more]
