Geometry is the study of space and spacial relationships. This requires students to develop both logical and deductive reasoning skills. The fields of engineering, robotics, astronomy, architecture, philosophy and mathematics all use principles of geometry. Key focus areas for geometry include: parallel and perpendicular lines, congruence, polygons and quadrilaterals, similarity, circles, transformations, properties of triangles and geometric proofs.
