Geometry is the basis for all higher math. This is where the concepts begin to get really abstract and it is very important to be able to find ways to visualize what is happening. If one can create a picture of what is happening in one?s mind, one can then remember the concepts and apply them to the situations which will be used in geometry and onwards. One of the ways I help students with this is by having them use what I call a ?trivial example?, which is an example of the rule which is so easy that I can?t get it wrong! This can help a student check the correct method even in a high-st [more]

I've tutored math for eight years, including Geometry, and studied Calculus III in college. The student will learn to apply the problem solving skills acquired in Algebra in order to solve problems that deal with the properties of shapes and objects. Hello and thanks for visiting my profile! I have over ten years of tutoring experience. I also have a current and valid educator certification and a bookkeeper certification from the National Bookkeepers Association. Being a Certified mathematics Teacher, grades 6-12, I have taught high school mathematics for many years. I have also been teaching various courses in math and French to University students as well. I am very patient and understand that some students have a fear of mathematics, often due to a lack of understanding the basics. Students often need to be retaught what was not learned previously with an experienced and patient teacher. I believe students learn best when they enjoy the lessons, es... [more]

I teach others, especially those who have, for whatever reason, obstacles in their learning. I teach teachers. I teach those who will, one day, be able to teach future generations. After fifteen years of educating in Special Education classrooms in California and Arizona, I redirected my energies primarily on tutoring individual students. When I can focus my full attention on a single student, I can identify needs and strategies faster, and address concerns as they arise. I work with par... [more]

Geometry is essential to any physicist, student or professor. Having tutored a variety of physics, my qualifications for this subject speak for themselves. I graduated Spring of 2012 from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Physics (4.0 GPA) with additional emphasis in Mathematics and Astrophysics/Astronomy. Beginning with high school, I have been helping and tutoring my fellow students and colleagues struggling with physical and mathematical concepts and problems in the context of homework, studying for exams, and even personal curiosity with respect to the scientific realm of understandi [more]

Hello I am a recent medical school graduate looking to earn money while I am studying for boards. My strongest areas are in science and math. I love tutoring students because the one on one time is often what they need to gain a better understanding of the subject. I am a visual and hands on learner and I know that for me sitting in class was not always helpful. With this in mind I am able to help students by being able to teach the subject in different ways. Math is something I like to t... [more]
