Geometry can be a difficult class for some to visualize. I have about two years of experience tutoring geometry, and after my sessions my students understood the concepts better and in turn got better grades. A majority of geometry is really just knowing which formula to use and once you understand that, everything else just falls into place. Hello, My name is Brian and I graduated from the University of California, Riverside with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. I have taken pretty much every core math class from Algebra to Vector Calculus. I have always excelled in math and during high sch [more]

Geometry is math and algebra made visual. In kindergarten you learned to identify circles, squares, and triangles. Now you get to learn about some additional very interesting polygons--the parallelogram, rhombus, pentagon, hexagon, octagon, etc. Perimeters, areas, volumes, angles, ratios, probability--all these words indicate measurements and relationships. Math teaches us to use what we know to find out what we need to know. I have worked with students of all ages and levels, from preschool through graduate school. While I have expertise in teaching reading, literature, writing and creative w [more]

I work hard to make math comprehensible, memorable, and interesting. There is no reason a student of mine should not gain a better grade. Incidentally, I have passed the rigorous CSET math sections I & II, which includes Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry and more advanced math as well. Are you frustrated with your performance? Or do you just need a bit more help? I like making learning fun, interactive, effective, guilt-free, and stress-free. I've been tutoring lots of students of all ages. I'd love helping you to learn. Let me mention some of my experiences. I'm a UC Berkeley grad in Psychol [more]

Your tutor search ends here! I have been successfully tutoring for over 10 years with more than 2,000 WyzAnt hours and almost 1,000 five star ratings. I have helped students transform their grades from F's to A's. It has been a very rewarding experience, since my students get to understand the subject a lot better as well as improve their grades. I love working with students of all ages and teaching the many subjects I know. My specialties are math, science, and standardized testing. I am ve... [more]

I have a PhD in chemical engineering. I have 3 years experience tutoring students in college and currently am teaching Math in college. Mathematics is a language. I know this language pretty good and having a PhD in engineering major makes me excellent at all subjects in math. Chemical engineering is my major and I have been in engineering school studying it for 12 years. So, I would say I am an experienced chemical engineer with extensive knowledge mainly in Thermodynamics, Fluid mechanics ... [more]

Core concepts in Geometry are deductive reasoning, concepts related to parallel lines, proving congruent & similar triangles, theorems on right triangles & circles, and calculating perimeters, areas, and volumes of geometric figures. Geometry provides abundant opportunities for students to reason mathematically. It teaches students thinking, communicating, and problem solving skills. Applying axioms, postulates, and theorems in solving problems are practices that help students to become independent learners. In Geometry, the more theorems are stored in the students' repertoire, the easier is [more]

I like tutoring and proud of teaching hundreds of high school, college, and university students. I tutor in my home office as well as within 10 miles radius from my office. My teaching methods have proven success for better grades in local and state exams. I tutor MATH, SCIENCE, AND ENGLISH for success on SAT, ACT, GED, MCAT, TOEFL, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and Algebra 1, Algebra 2. I hold BS degree in math and science, MS degree in chemistry, major in organic chemistry, and P... [more]

Hi, my name is Dave. I have tutored hundreds of students. Although many came to me afraid of math, most of them left with a well-earned sense of confidence and mastery. You will too. I promise that you will learn what you want to know. My style is personable, engaging, and easygoing. I have extensive knowledge of pretty much all of math through the end of college, and of statistics well beyond that. I'm good at zeroing in on precisely what's giving you trouble, and will break each pr... [more]

I love taking complex concepts and breaking them down into their component parts for others. For as long as I can remember, I have been teaching. Whether it was tutoring my little sister in elementary school in Costa Rica (I made practice tests and everything!), or teaching genetics at the University of Illinois, I have always enjoyed helping others feel the excitement of mastering new knowledge and skills. For the last three years I have been coaching and training teachers at schools acro... [more]

I have taught geometry concepts as a tutor, substitute teacher, and classroom teacher. I can tutor geometry concepts such as calculating area, finding the interior angles of a polygon and the number of sides of a polygon, etc. I've lead substitute instruction in geometry and a middle school geometry project where students made building blueprints and calculated area. I have taught geometry at both the middle and high school level and have worked at connecting the content with hands-on and practical applications. [more]
