Depending on the University/Program you are looking to enter, you may need to take the GMAT, or GRE. Preparation for the math portions of the GMAT and the GRE are very similar in topics: Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Basic Probability, and Data Analysis. While a calculator is allowed on the GRE, it is a very basic one. For the GMAT, a calculator is allowed on the 'Integrated Reasoning' Section, but not the 'Quantitative' Section. So, while preparing for either test, you will want to practice mental and written calculations, and shortcuts for both. For the GMAT, hold off on doing the 'Da [more]

My grammar credentials go back to 1974 when I first started teaching freshman English. My logic and reading credentials can be summed up in my 99th percentile on the LSAT. In addition, I have been actively teaching GMAT prep (as well as LSAT prep) for 10 years now and have developed a highly efficient program that goes well beyond anything the big name test prep companies have to offer. Wharton, Harvard, Kellogg, Booth are just a few of the higher tiered schools that my students have been able to attend. [more]

GMAT is very important for getting into a good MBA program. Therefore, you need a tutor who had taken GMAT before and enrolled in a top MBA program (the Univ. of Chicago MBA program.) I know how to help you prepare for the GMAT test, especially if you are weak in the area of quantitative reasoning and analysis. I, being a physicist, am steeped in math of all areas. I can help you in understanding the math reasoning and in tackling quantitative problems. We will start with a good test preparation book, such as the one by GMAC or Kaplan. We will continue to drill on practice problems and I w [more]
